Because the vehicle or tractor being pulled on to the trailer is on wheels, the vehicle or tractor is considered to be a Rolling Load. Rolling Loads are much easier on the winch, so much so, that the winch can pull more than its rated capacity. Keeping in mind that the layers of wire rope reduce the winch capacity, etrailer.com recommends using a winch with a line pull capacity equal to that of the load being moved. For more on using your winch with a trailer check out our detailed winch information pagemore information.
