Thule Hitching Post Pro Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches
The good: I like the way the bikes are held in and the ability to add the upright adapters to the bike frame holders. The straps are quality too. For a jeep with a spare tire, this is the perfect length to clear it. This rack is 5 stars from the bike holders to the base of it. The bad: the 2"receiver adapter and bolt are insufficient. I wish they made this in a solid 2" hitch. The entire setup is held into the receiver by a very short bolt. It only goes about half way into the receiver tube. So your hitch is only "secured" on one side. A hitch pin or bolt should go through the receiver tube completely imo so it can be secured on the other end with a retaining clip or nut. Because this only goes in the one side, the entire weight of the rack plus bikes are held tight to one side of the receiver by the undersized bolt and washer. A few bumps down the road and that bolt loosens. Now instead of distibuting the weight of the rack and bikes on the receiver and post, it's completely up to the bolt to keep you from losing the rack. The bolt threads get damaged too. I took this down a dirt road and nearly lost everything. I had to buy my own bolt with hd fender washers and lock washers to correct this. Thule should've provided this from the start. The current short bolt design where only one side of the receiver secures the rack is unacceptable. This rack is 1 star at best for the connection to the receiver.
Hitch pin broke before I got it. Looks like a poor design for the locking pin, they might want to consider a different design. I got a 3/8 shear pin from Home Depot to replace and it works great. Bike rack is great!

Swagman XTC4 Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
So far I’ve just assembled it and took a quick test drive around the block. My initial thought is this thing is perfect. It’s super sturdy and easy to use. My only gripe and it’s not fault of the rack, but it’s heavy…
If you've done any research or read any of the other comments on either this rack, or this seller...rest assured they really are as good as everyone says! I ordered my rack on around 4pm est on a Friday afternoon and within an hour I received an email that said they have shipped my product AND upgraded to priority shipping. Can't say enough positive things about the customer service! When the rack arrived, it took me a little over half an hour to get it set up. Probably would e been faster if I were even slightly mechanically inclined (or if didn't I didn't have to borrow a socket wrench from my neighbor). We finally had an opportunity to load up the bikes and head out for a ride today. As others have said, the first time you load up your bikes, it's kind of like a puzzle to get them situated. Took about 15 minutes. This rack is awesome! Very sturdy and the bikes were very secure. Only racks I have had in the past were rooftop fork mount racks. This is so much easier! On e we got to the trail (over an hour drive) getting the bikes off was a piece of cake. Afterwards, it was time to load them back up and it was less than 5 minutes to get them all on and ready to hit the road. There were other 4-bike racks on the website, but this one had enough great reviews that I felt comfortable making the purchase. After the fact, I'm very glad I did! I can't imagine the $800 rack can be that much better than this, and I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a 4-bike platform rack. I will definitely recommend this rack and etrailer.com to everyone I know.

Thule Passage 3 Bike Carrier - Trunk Mount
Fits perfectly on our Lexus CT200h. Only on the old LS400, the side straps have to be fastened to the wheel arch edge, since the upper trunklid gap is to narrow for inserting the strap hooks. Mounting of two bikes is (with some routine) quickly done, and they stay safe even for longer and faster routes. For transporting three (mountain) bikes, though, the design doesn't seem big and robust enough. Nevertheless, the price-benefit-fun ratios are way better than reasonable.
We are very pleased with the quality and ease of use for our like-new purchase. From the online shopping experience with etrailer.com through multiple outings already, this bike carrier more than meets our needs. Thank you!

Thule Passage Trunk Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - Hanging Style
Excellent and prompt customer service! When I first ordered my product it wasn’t in stock— staff were quick to let me know and offered me comparable products. I ended up waiting for my original order and shipping quick and they stayed in touch with ideas! Thule: The instructions could be a little more detailed. I ended up watching YouTube videos to help me instal. Overall it was easy, and this was the first rack I’ve ever installed and I did it by myself! I was surprised to learn the bike rack is in no way secured inside your vehicle, so.. I store it in my garage when it’s on.
Positive: The product is well thought out and works for a wide range of automotive vehicles. It comes with interesting dampers that i think work. Instructions seem to be translated from another language, but are quite good, accompanying pictures make installation straightforward. A test drive over speed bumps shows that the rack will support the bike for all travel needs. It can be disassembled , collapsed and stored in the trunk. Downside: The rack is made for the classic triangular shaped frame: horizontal cross bar, "male" bike. For bikes without the horizontal bar, mounting is a little less satisfactory. Such a bike can only be mounted on the outside mounts. Cannot use the damper on one side. Picture shows the mounting. as to a design solution, maybe brackets could be replaced with smaller profile, some adjustability? however, as it is, vibration control is good and adjustability with smaller profile would have vibration concerns.

Yakima RidgeBack Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting
Check out my other review on the hidden hitch for a 2015 BMW 4 Series for the majority of the review, but this thing is great. Easy setup and install, does all the things it's supposed to do. Mounting and removing bikes is a snap with the included clips (big difference from some of the cheaper variants with nylon ratchet straps). Fits very snugly in my 2" receiver, and pretty solid on the highway and over bumpy roads.
The rack itself is fantastic. Not too heavy, easy to attach to hitch, and very easy setup. The only real downside is if your bicycles don't have a standard frame, you'll need to buy the Yakima Tube Top Bike Adapter Bars (~$50 each) in order to be able to mount them on the rack. I will say that smaller bikes (for my 9 year old) can be a challenge to mount with larger bikes as you'll need to finagle the handle bars and such to get them to line up but once you do it a few times you figure it out.

Curt Bike Rack for 5 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Tilting
It was obvious that we received a product that was returned by someone else when the box was overly taped shut, a support collar was broken, and most of the pieces were out of their ripped plastic bags. However, it was a great price to hold 5, 26" and/or 27" Trek bikes. I used a piece of the broken collar and went ahead and assembled the rack. Due to the weight of the 5 bikes it did not wobble that much when driving, as one of the bike tires was up against my car. I can only imagine that if we received an untampered product that this review would have been 5 stars. The picture is a little hard to see, but there are 5 Trek bikes on the rack on my 2020 Toyota Seinna.
We received a damaged box, damaged items, no instructions, the nuts and bolts are completely stripped and not inside a bag. This was obviously used, returned, not checked for quality and sent out. We are extremely upset.

Swagman XTC2 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
First-time rack buyer / owner / installer. The rack arrived in a timely fashion, maybe a day or 2 ahead of schedule. It was well packaged. I’m LOVING this bike rack. It was easy to put together and to mount on my new Honda Passport. Thus far, no squeaks in my 2” receiver. Hardest part of initial set-up is figuring out the best way to position two bikes. Trial & error and some patience. The directions weren’t clear as to where the 2 left-over screws went. I found the answer in another review and have posted a pic in case others have the same problem (photo with pen pointing at screw). These screws go in the underneath side of both of the folding arms. They appear to keep the wheel wells from sliding off in case in you drive with an empty, un-folded rack, and forgot to tighten down the wheel wells. The folding arm push / pull pins can be difficult at times. I coated the tips with some lube. That and a little jiggling seems to solve that issue. I guess it’s better for the pins to be snug vs popping right out. I added a small Master lock to the hitch pin (in lieu of the provided cotter pin) as a theft deterrent. I read that a 3/16 shackle lock will fit into the bike clamp down arms to also act as a deterrent. I had an old 3/16 lock that did snugly fit and appeared to be locked. HOWEVER, I yanked on the lock and it came open as there isn’t quite enough clearance for the shackle to lock. I discovered that longer 3/16 shackle locks are hard to find. Have attached a photo of the lock that actually fits and works (Ace Hardware). One lock on the upper clamp down arm will secure both arms as the lower arm can’t be removed without removing the upper arm. The clamp down arms appear to be coated to prevent damage to your bike. I’ve tried a simple rag and ultimately settled on pool noodle pieces as a precautionary measure. I CAN NOT open my tailgate (regardless of whether or not the rack is fold up and in the bike carry position). If that’s a concern for you, then spring for the more costly titling version. My back-up camera still functions.
The Swagman XTC-2 platform bike carrier arrived very quickly from etrailer and in good shape, the actual carrier box is inside another shipper box, which I'm sure helped with its condition. Assembly was relatively quick and painless, even though the instructions could be a little more thorough. Installing the carrier on the back of our Jeep Patriot also was quick, it helps to have an extra ratchet & 3/4" socket laying around for just this purpose. Installing the bikes takes a little patience and trial and error the first time you try and put them on the carrier. It's easy enough to adjust the wheel holders to fit the wheelbase of your bikes, but for us at least, the challenge was trying to swing the vertical support bar up into position after putting on the first bike (closest to the Jeep). We couldn't angle the bike enough toward the Jeep to have the bar clear the bike. We learned that the easiest way to secure the first bike was to remove the ratcheting frame hooks altogether, put the bike in the carrier, swing up the vertical support bar, put in the pin, and then slide one of the frame hooks down on the bar. The outside bike is much easier because you can set the bike in the carrier at whatever angle you need, not being limited by the back of the vehicle. One thing we did to protect the bike frames was to use some foam pipe insulation as cushion between the frame hook and the frame (see pictures). Once you get a system for installing the bikes, it is very quick to load/unload them. The rack seems to be well made and doesn't wiggle excessively when traveling. All in all a good product for a good price, would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a platform bike carrier.

Saris Bones 2 Bike Rack - Trunk Mount - Adjustable Arms
Seemingly well-constructed and supported bike rack. It fits my 2018 Toyota Camry SE just fine and I haven't had any issues with sway or even feeling my bike while driving. I've only carried one bike on it and have used it a limited number of times, so I cannot speak on durability and longevity. Although you shouldn't open your trunk while the rack is attached, I have been able to do so with no issue (without the bike attached).
While getting a bike rack for a sports car isn't ideal, I really wanted to transfer my bike with my own car instead of borrowing my friend's pickup truck. After hours of trying to find a bike rack that would be good for my 07 Mustang, I decided to give this one a try and I gotta say, it has been pretty good so far. It fits very well over the factory spoiler. One of my biggest concerns I was worried about when ordering a rack for my Mustang was ruining the paint, but the feet on the legs haven't left one scratch. I have used this to transfer my bike at freeway speeds (up to 80 mph) on car rides that typically last an hour and my bike was perfectly secure throughout each ride. For extra security, I wrapped both bike wheels with a ratchet strap so the wheels and pedals wouldn't shift in transit. So far, I am very pleased with this bike rack for the price and quality. I would highly recommend this if you want a rack that is affordable and durable.

Yakima FullBack 3 Bike Rack - Trunk Mount - Adjustable Arms
Performed perfectly on a 140 mile round-trip in my 2017 Acura MDX. It took me a few tries to position the anchors inside the top of the hatch, but I got the hang of it and the rack did not shift at all while driving 50-60 mph on the highway.
Excellent quality! Bike rack comes fully assembled. Cam locks hold the upper support and the bike arms in position and are very easy to use.fairly useless included cable lock. Will only work if you always carry 3 bikes. I just used my cable lock and had no problems transporting my bike to the trails.

Kuat NV 2.0 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount - Metallic Black
EVERY BRAND HAS ITS PROS AND CONS. THE PROS ON THIS RACK IS THE HIGH QUALITY OF MATERIALS AND CONSTRUCTION AND THE INNOVATIVE FEATURES. THE RACK IS EASY TO USE AND EASY TO INSTALL. I ESPECIALLY LIKE THE INTEGRATED BIKE STAND. IT IS EASY TO USE, UNOBTRUSIVE, AND COMES IN VERY HANDY WHEN YOU WANT TO MAKE A TWEEK ON YOUR BIKE WHILE AT THE TRAIL HEAD OR IN THE PARKING LOT. I KNOW THERE MUST BE A NEGATIVE TO THIS RACK, BUT AFTER A YEAR OF USE I HAVEN’T FOUND IT YET. IT IS A BIT PRICEY, AND IF YOU DON’T CARE ABOUT DURABILITY, QUALITY OF CONSTRUCTION, OR ADDED FEATURES, THEN A LESS EXPENSIVE BRAND MAY WORK FOR YOU AND YOU WILL SAVE A FEW BUCKS. ALSO, IT IS A BIT HEAVIER THAN SOME OTHER RACKS, BUT I AM IN MY 70’S AND I CAN HANDLE IT FINE.
This is rack’s construction is a rock, heavy hitch tube and the scissor extension swing is solid due to the ball barring lock feature in the mounting tube. The ease of mounting bikes with tire saddles, installing and construction quality excellent. Purchased the wide tire kit adds flexibility to my use of road to fatter tire bikes. Being able to install the bike service bracket is a breeze for airing up, lubing. Use it on my Hylander to my truck camper

Kuat NV 2.0 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount - Gunmetal Gray
This thing is built like a tank! It is of the best fit and funtion I have seen in a bike rack! Solid as can be, fits my bikes perfectly and looks awesome! Plus it folds completely out of the way to access the rear liftgate on my 2022 Rav4!
Great service from etrailer and the rack arrived as expected. Fairly easy assembly. OK video on Kuat’s site, but didn’t cover the foot pedal. Really glad we got the 2” hitch. It tightened up and we’re impressed with the quality and the stability of the rack. We haven’t done a road test yet, but look forward to putting it to the test. We have a Ford F-150 and it works great. The bikes were fairly easy to load with the batteries out and two people. We do need the strap extenders for our RadMini Step Thru’s. The tires are too big for the ones that come with. Only one set of extenders came with the bike and one adapter for a smaller tire. It’s okay, but since it’s a two bike unit, would have been nice to have both extenders. Otherwise, we are really liking the look and stability.

Swagman Trailhead Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting
Quick and reliable shipping and was able to take to my mechanic to get it installed and it works perfectly with my bike rack!
This is a very solid product! I have used it for over a year now and love it! I have had up to 3 bikes on this without a problem and have traveled over 8 hours in the car one way with absolutely no issues. Many other bike racks like this one that I see on other cars look unstable this is not unstable in anyway. I did have to file some of the paint off of the rack to get it to fit in my 1 and 1/4" hitch but once that was done it has been perfect. I also bought the locking hitch bolt which is awesome too.

Yakima HoldUp Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount
Works well for transporting two 29" wheeled mountain bikes. However, after one year it's starting to rust in several areas (see attached photos), and the front wheel arms are becoming increasingly difficult to raise and lower. Finally the locking cable is extremely rusty as you can see in the attached photo. I'm not sure how durable this rack will be long term.
We have had this bike rack for one year and use it every week-end. My wife has a Trek e-bike (52 lbs) and I have a regular Trek hybrid (23 lbs). The rack is very sturdy and I have no issues driving at highway speeds, there is no movement of the bikes. Very easy to load and unload.

Kuat NV 2.0 Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount - Gunmetal Gray
My Kuat NV 2. Bike Rack is the best bike rack I have ever owned. It is excellent for electric bikes. Very easy to load bikes and holds bikes very securely.
This bike rack is built extremely good. It is solid and the bikes are easy to put on and off the rack. The reason for the 3 stars are the following. I purchased the 4 bike rack together. It comes in two seperate boxes one for the main unit and the other for the additonal two bike add on. However, even purchasing this as one unit the two units are keyed different. If I have 4 bikes on the rack and lock the bikes I have to have two different keys to unlock the bikes. Why? The main unit came with some scratches on it. However, I know that putting bikes on and off the unit will get scratched. It is disappointing to see the amount of money this bike rack cost to come already scratched. The other major issue with having the four bike rack is the ability to have all 4 bikes on the rack and tilt the rack down to get into the hatch of the vehilce. The manufacture could provide an extention to the lever so that when the rack is setup for 4 bikes it can be tilted without the assistance of another person. Only comes with two child bike adaptors.
Thule T2 Pro XTR 4 Bike Rack Review - 2022 Mazda CX-9
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the Thule T2 Pro XTR four bike platform rack. We're going to take a look at how this multi bike bike rack fits our 2022 Mazda CX9. So if you're a fan of the Thule T2 Pro XTR which is their premium bike rack but you want the version that can carry around a lot of bikes, this is gonna be the one. You can take off the add-on and convert it back to a two bike platform rack or you can keep it in the four bikes configuration. Well, when you do have this many bikes though you also have more space as well as more weight that you are going to have to consider. The very first thing we're gonna do actually is we're going to take a measurement for the length that adds to the back of the Mazda CX9.
Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Mazda CX-9
Hey, everybody. Cooper here from etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Swagman XC2 on our 2022 Mazda CX-9. Now this is going to be a platform-style bike rack, able to accommodate up to two bikes. Each can have a weight capacity up to 35 pounds, and our main point of contact is going to be up on our frame here. So with those two things in mind, unfortunately, our heavier e-bikes are not going to be an option, and our carbon frame bikes are not going to be an option either due to the fact that we are making that contact.
Hollywood Racks Destination 2 Bike Platform Rack Review - 2022 Mazda CX-9
Hey everybody, Cooper here at etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination 2 on our 2022 Mazda CX-9. Our bike rack is going to be a platform style bike rack and width to accommodate up to two bikes, individually weight rated for 35 pounds each. We are going to be making frame contact as our main point here in the center, so unfortunately our carbon frame bikes are not going to be an option. And because of that weight limit, our e-bikes are not going to be an option, but we can actually accommodate a lot of alternative frame bikes. Because if you look at our center mast, our main point can move up and down and kind of rotate around.
Thule Hitching Post Pro Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2022 Mazda CX-9
Hey, everybody, Cooper here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Thule Hitching Post Pro on our 2022 Mazda CX-9. Now, our rack is going to be a hanging-style bike rack, able to accommodate up to four bikes individually weight rated for 35 pounds each. Because we are making that frame contact and due the weight rating, unfortunately, e-bikes and those carbon frame bikes are not going to be an option here. We can accommodate some alternative frame bikes, but you wanna make sure that you do get an adapter bar for that. Now, it does offer a tilt away feature, but you don't wanna tilt away with those bikes loaded, because that's just additional weight to worry about.
Yakima RidgeBack Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2022 Mazda CX-9
Hey everybody, Cooper here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Yakima RidgeBack on our 2022 Mazda CX9. Now our bike rack is going to be a hanging style bike rack able to accommodate up to four bikes individual weight capacity for each of those being 40 pounds. Because of that weight capacity, unfortunately, we're not going to be carrying around our e-bikes and because our main points of contact is on our frame we're not gonna be able to do our carbon frame bikes either. But if you do have an alternative frame bike or a kids' bike and get a adapter bar you may be able to fit these onto here. Our bike rack does come with a tilt away feature but we don't wanna do that mostly because of the aggressive tilt might endanger the bikes towards the ground and you don't want to have all those bikes loaded up and have to lift all that weight.
RockyMounts MonoRail 2 Bike Platform Rack Review - 2022 Mazda CX-9
Hey everybody, Cooper here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the RockyMount's MonoRail, on our 2022 Mazda CX-9. Now our rack is going to be a platform style bike rack able to hold up to two bikes individually weight rated for 60 pounds each, meaning that our heavier e-bikes are gonna be able to stand on this rack. We are all also making no frame contact. Our two main points of contact are going to be a rubber strap back here, and our main point's going to be a hook we use on the front meaning we're not making any frame contact. So our alternative frame as well as our carbon frame bike racks are going to be used on here too.

So our alternative-frame bikes, as well as those carbon-frame bikes, are gonna work with this too.

RockyMounts GuideRail 2 Bike Rack Review - 2022 Mazda CX-9
Hi everyone it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we have the RockyMounts GuideRail two-bike platform rack. This is a dual wheel mount bike rack, and we're gonna take a look at how well it fits our 2022 Mazda CX-9. The GuideRail is a pretty cool bike rack. It has some premium features which matches premium price and you have a dual wheel mount, so no matter what type of frame your bike has you're not worried about it touching it at all. 60 pound weight capacity's also good for your heavy electric bikes. The focus of this rack is just to make it easier for you to load and unload your bikes, as well as do things like tilt the rack away.
Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Mazda CX-9
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the Swagman Current two bike platform rack for electric bikes. And we'll take a look at how it fits our 2022 Mazda CX9. So the Swagman Current is designed for the heavier weight capacity but also has the simple traditional style of carrying around your bikes with that simple hook in the center. It has its pros and cons to this style like staying affordable but also staying versatile. And it also has some downsides like this does not fold up on the Mazda CX9 because it comes really close to the vehicle. So we'll talk about that and then that way you can get the best fit for you and your bikes and your car.
Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Mazda CX-9
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today I have a Swagman XTC2 TILT away bike rack and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2022 Mazda CX9. So the XTC 2 tilt takes the simplicity of the XC and the affordability of an entry level bike rack but it also adds a tilt away feature for if you want better access to your hatch even when your bikes are on. So it is popular because of its low price point while still getting the job done but it also has its downsides as well. With the Mazda CX9, it gets really close to the vehicle meaning your bikes will be close to the vehicle. So let's talk about features like that. Now, the main thing with the XTC2 TILT is that it tilts away.
Yakima Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Mazda CX-9
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer. and today we have the Yakima OnRamp two-bike electric bike rack, and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2022 Mazda CX-9. So the OnRamp is really designed for those heavy electric bikes because you have a 66 pound weight capacity per bike, and you have a ramp included and attached to the rack. Now there are some other features to this bike rack, and we are gonna focus on the CX-9 here today. We'll talk about things like how close it gets to the vehicle, and with the ground clearance, do you really need a ramp But another of its features that it has is the tilt away feature, so we'll start there. To tilt the bike rack away, there are two pins you're gonna have to pull.
Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Mazda CX-9
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we have the Hollywood Racks Destination E electric bike rack, and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2022 Mazda CX-9. So the Destination E is really designed for those heavy electric bikes, but it can also work with other bikes in different shapes and sizes. Now we are going to focus on our Mazda CX-9 here just to see how well it fits with this car. I think, it's like a medium to okay fit because of our ground clearance. The ramp this comes with does come in handy with those 70-pound bikes, and we do have clearance for our hatch, but also has a little bit of extra effort to get to those features. So that feature that I mentioned was the tilt-away feature.
CURT Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Mazda CX-9
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the Curt Premium 4 Hanging Rack and we'll take a look at how this fits our 2022 Mazda CX-9. So the Curt Premium is a hanging rack that I would recommend for people that are taking around family bikes, as well as maybe your mountain bikes because of the unique way this is designed. Now, when possible, I do recommend taking a look at the platform racks we have available for your CX-9, but I also understand that the hanging rack is preferred by someone because it takes up less space, as well as is lighter than most racks. So, here we have the four bike version. This is also available as a five bike version, which is awesome if you want to get more bikes around. With this in place, you have one and two of your normal size cradles, but notice how the arms pivot into where they're closer together.
RockyMounts Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Mazda CX-9
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today we're taking a look at the RockyMounts GuideRail; and how it fits on a 2021 Mazda CX-9. So the GuideRail is actually one of my favorite bike racks, just because it has a dual wheel mount system, making it super fast to load and unload your bikes. But also it has a weight capacity for electric bikes. You can put carbon fiber frame bikes and in my opinion I think it looks really good. Now with the Mazda CX-9, we've actually found a little bit of an issue here with the GuideRail.
Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Mazda CX-9
Hi, everyone. It's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look at how the Hollywood Racks Destination four-bike platform rack fits on the 2021 Mazda CX-9. So, this rack is one of my favorites when it comes to the entry-level platform racks, just because it's at the price point where you can still get a solid platform rack without having to pay the premium. And amongst those entry level racks, it has some nice features, like this versatile frame mount mast. But, the downside to this is that you can't do some things, like tilt it away.
Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Mazda CX-9
Hi everyone. It's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today we'll be taking a look at the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 two bike platform rack right here on our 2018 Mazda CX-9. So the Kuat Sherpa is probably gonna be one of the best bike racks for versatility as well as something that really looks good. So it looks good and it works well. RockyMounts Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Mazda CX-9
Hi everyone. It's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we'll be taking a look at our Rocky Mount MonoRail 2-bike platform rack, right here, on our 2018 Mazda CX-9. So, the Rocky Mount's MonoRail is a great bike rack if you have bikes of pretty much any shape, any size, any weight. So, whether you have your heavy electric bikes or your really light carbon fiber frame bikes, this can work with that. So we're gonna talk about those features and those specs, but we're gonna focus on our vehicle here today. That way you can see what is the best fit for you, your different types of bikes, and your Mazda CX-9.
Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Mazda CX-9

So if you're looking for an easy to use bike rack, this could be a good option for you. We're gonna go over those features and those specs, but we're gonna focus on our Mazda CX-9 here.
Inno Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Mazda CX-9
Today on our 2018 Mazda CZ9, we're gonna be test fitting the Inno vertical hang four-bike hanging style rack. For inch and a quarter and two inch hitches, which is part number INH540. Now this bike rack is pretty unique as a different way of porting your bikes when compared to your typical hanging style racks that have the two arms except they're parallel like this. This one has the two vertical arms like this that are perpendicular to the ground and it holds your bike at the intersection of the cross tube and the down tube of your bike, right there. Kind of wedges itself down and then down here, we're gonna have another cradle that's supporting about the midsection of the down tube. And you've got two straps holding it in.
Yakima Trunk Bike Racks Review - 2018 Mazda CX-9
Speaker 1: Today in our 2018 Mazda CX-9, we're gonna be test fitting the Yakima full back two bike rack with trunk mounts, part number Y02634. We already have a bike installed on a rack, let's take a closer look here. We'll start off at the ends of our arms here. On one, we actually have the patented Yakima bottle opener as we do with most of the Yakima bike racks. On the other one, however, we have an integrated cable lock that can wrap around the very last bike and attach to the point here to be locked into place. This will keep both bikes secure on the rack, once it's installed.Moving on the actual cradles here, these are stationary, meaning they can't move back and forth, but they're spaced enough apart where spacing shouldn't be an issue.

Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Mazda CX-9
Hi everyone, it's here at etrailer. And today we're looking at the Kuat Sherpa 2.02 bike rack here on our 2016 Mazda CX9. Now the Kuat Sherpa is an awesome stylish bike rack, which is great for most of your bikes, especially if you have carbon 3M bikes, or if you need something that has locks and is kind of middle of the road, not as expensive as say the Kuat NV but still offers you all the premium features you could ask for. So one of those features is that this can tilt away. To do so, you pull this lever right over here and you just drop that bike rack down and you'll want to tilt it away if you want to access your hatch. So, as you can see here on our Mazda CX9, we actually have plenty of clearance between our door and our handlebars, allowing us to get into our trunk, we can grab our bags, or grab our helmets or grab a water, all of that without having to take our bike rack or our bike off.
What our customers are saying:
"Everyone that bought before me was right! I got my rack in time for my next days off and putting it together was fast too. And I'm a grandma!! Thank you for being fast and honest! You beat anyone in my town hands down!"
