Best Jeep Liberty Trailer Hitch Ball Mounts

Ordered this hitch and it worked perfect for what I needed just bought a teardrop trailer. Couldn't open up the tailgate on my Jeep so I ordered this extended hitch and I brought the ball out past my spare tire and the tailgate opens up now I have no problems. And I looked everywhere couldn't find one of this quality and at this price very reasonable the other ones hundreds of dollars didn't want to spend that much.

This was the longest hitch ball mount I could find anywhere. I used it with a short extension for my 2021 T G so that I could open the back doors without hitting the trailer wheel crank. With my new trailer, Intact Flyer Discover, I don't need the extension and can still open the doors. Works well.

Excellent quality, fast shipping. Finding a metric ball for our international application was a bit difficult. We knew etrailer was the place to go for all things "trailer" related. Very happy with the purchase!

Strong and seems to be well made and well finished. One-inch ball mounting hole. I used this for a Curt hitch mounted on a 2014 Forester and pulls a small Harbor Freight trailer. Perfect height and trailer is level. Warning - don't get their hitch pin, it does not have a hole for a cotter pin, only a weak clip that I would not trust.

I have two of these. My first I bought two years ago. I very highly recommend this Curt Class III Ballmount 2" Drop because of its price, durability and quality. I towed various class 3 loads with ease and confidence with this ballmount. It slides into the hitch and does its job without fail. It looks excellent after towing a load. etrailer's price is about as good as it gets and delivery is very speedy.

The one foot ball mount works great on a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado work truck(no lift kit). We use it for a one axle, lawn care/utility trailer. It is used at least half the work week and has held up for a year. It may not be a good choice for a heavier trailer, but at that point we would also purchase a 2500 truck too. The mount helps clear the jack when the tailgate is opened with about 2 inches to spare.

Great product for getting out past the tire carrier on a small SUV. Customer service was wonderful with great follow through and any assistance I needed I will definitely use etrailer agin

Hitch was correct and it had all its parts. The only negative was the bag they give you to carry the hitch in - doesn’t fit in the bag, the hitch is too long.

Very high quality and just what I needed to allow tailgate to be opened when my trailer is hooked up.

Slightly longer, so you can open your tailgate with a cargo trailer attached. Trailers with a tongue jack that is forward are problematic for tailgates...

I’m pleased with the product and how prompt the delivery was. However the packaging was insufficient and the packaging was torn open all over. Scuffing of the finish is a result and of little consequence due to the intended use. It’s a stinger w/ball for motorhome. May I suggest better packaging in the future

Working in the sand and grass of my driveway my wife and I installed our new etrailer receiver hitch. Great fit and finish! Went right on as described in the online guide. Hitch required a spacer washer on top back bolt attachment point. Taped it on so it would not move while lifting in place and it stayed right there! Used a car jack to raise up and hold the hitch into the underside of the trunk tighten the bolts and reattached the tail pipe done. Now we can pull our Sunfish Sailboat any where the car will go.

I am very pleased with the hitch, ball mount, and electrical package. All were easy to install if you follow the easy to understand directions. An added plus for putting one of these on a MINI is that the hitch can be hidden behind the "black plate/cover" that is on the rear bumper. It looks just like it came out of the factory except when to need to install the ball mount. The service has been outstanding. This is the place to go.

With good information from the website it was easy to order a Curt 2" Trailer Hitch, the Upgraded Circuit Protected Tail Light Converter Hardwire Kit w/ 4-Pole Connector and Circuit Tester - 119178KIT, Curt Ball Mount for 2" Hitches (3/4" Rise, 2" Drop - 10-1/4" Long - 7,500 lbs - D-4), Curt Pin and Clip Hitch Receiver - C21500, Rubber Tube Cover for 2" Trailer Hitch Receivers - I-728,Review, and 2" hitch ball 40038. Parts were delivered earlier than the initial estimate. Self installation (on a sloped drive way) took just under 2 hour. The fit of parts was very good, instructions and on-line video's were very helpful. My Kia did not have the wire plug in option, but the splice connections in the wire kit were easy to install. Most of the parts are hidden from view when the ball mount is not used.

I have a custom made tow guard. The ball mount I have was too short to allow me to attach the tow guard to my new truck. I searched the web and found just what I needed at etrailer.com. I am using the hitch for a car dolly and a bike rack. The fit is a little loose for the bike rackmI'll see it really works when get on the road.

Quality is excellent. However, it did not work so I am not sure what to do with it. I thought I could use the top hitch for a Bike rack and pull a utility trailer with other toys. The trailer is too close to make a turn so good try but not able to use it. Thank you for asking. I did not open the box for a while because I was having the trailer worked on so assumed I waited too long to return.

The hitch works great. The service was excellent!!! I'm going back and having a hitch put on my other car soon. Thank you.

Haven't used it yet. I bought it because of CURT's quality. It was beat up in shipping though.

Exactly what I needed to extend the reach of the ball beyond my rear tire carrier WITHOUT losing any tongue weight capacity! I used mine for the 2" rise.

No problems with the hitch- makes it easy to switch between trailers! I have no complaints!

Very good product and I would have given it a 5 star rating but there is one critical flaw that is quickly remedied. When using the pintle hitch, the pressure exerted on pin while pulling a load can cause the pin to turn, thereby popping out the keeper pin. This happened twice and it was a good thing that I had the hitch positioned so that the pintle pin was installed going down allowing gravity to hold the pin in place even when the keeper pin fell out. I have since changed out this style of keeper pin with a cinch pin that can spin 360 degrees inside the 2" tube and no pressure is exerted on it by the load being pulled. If I were designing this from new, I would make it so that the draw pin on the pintle had a square shoulder much like a carriage bolt so that it can't turn thereby eliminating pressure on the keeper pin. Other than that it is a great product.

I cannot use this ball mount because the shaft is too short that goes into hitch receiver on my one ton Dodge truck. It does not allow enough room between truck back bumper and ball to allow any trailer tongue to be put on ball.

The ball mount was a complete failure even after a lengthy discussion on the phone. I wanted a ball mount that would accept the rocker ball and anti-sway bar. The bar sent to me can't be used this way. An email and phone message to the sales person I ordered with, got no response.

Picked up my teardrop in ABQ on 2/17/23, and the Curt ball mount lined up perfectly with no drop/rise, and the extra length gave clearance for my rear door mounted spare tire. This mount is a beast, and the "overbuilt" nature of it gave me confidence that my Bronco would tow the teardrop easily. I also got the Curt Echo wireless brake controller, which synced easily to my phone and was easy to install, set up, and use. Overall a great towing experience, thanks to etrailer and Curt!

Very versatile - can use it on both my vehicles that have very different hitch height. Clean welds, super solid. Weighs a LOT!

The Extra Long Ball Mount proved useful immediately upon receipt. Delivery was prompt, and the updates from etrailer.com helped plan transport of several bicycles, simultaneously with a camper trailer. The extended length facilitated use with a Swagman bicycle rack, also purchased via etrailer.com. First impression massive, heavy Built Stout. My truck is always hooked to a trailer so I figured I would try a nicer set up I was using the B&W which is great for the average Joe that just needs to pull a trailer every now and then but this is a whole new world first trailer I pulled with It I could feel the difference right away it was smoother the vibrations and harsh thump feelings that I would normally get when pulling the trailers when I hit rough roads or bumps was not as bad or gone. It definitely made a huge difference super easy to move height if needed and an added bonus I didn’t think of is that it pushes the trailer back further so you can get a little tighter turning when backing up if needed and i can open the tailgate and it won’t hit the jack on the trailer. On top of that when people see it it’s a conversation starter There are not many of these out there so they are intrigued by the size and how it works. Bottom line in my opinion if you’re towing all the time it is worth the investment. I would invest in another.

Built like a brick s@%thouse. Works great! Keep in mind I use this for pulling same trailer loaded same way every day. I could figure out optimal hitch weight and keep it there

Excellent product! With the three different ball sizes, this tri-ball mount gives you a lot of flexibility. Gone are the days of having several different ball mounts to fit different tongues. High quality construction makes this an excellent investment.

Shipping was a mess, lost the first one in the mail somewhere because no one thought a 50# hitch would punch through cardboard. It is working as expected, but does not seem to be a true 2" drop.

This was a combination product that contains both trailer balls that I use. I am very pleased with the product and do not have to worry about it breaking under a heavy pull. This was what I needed as far as a high capacity (16k lb) ball mount with the right amount of drop, but the mount does not fit "snugly" in my receiver. There is a bit of play between the receiver and the mount when it is installed.
