What Winch Will Move a 3000 Pound Car Up a Driveway With a 5 Degree Incline- In order to pull your vehicle up a 5 degree incline I can recommend 2 different winches that will work well in this application.
The first winch I recommend is the Dutton-Lainson StrongArm AC Powered Winch part # DL25019. This winch is rated at 2700 pounds lift capacity, which is less than your 3000 pound car, however, your car is considered a rolling load and the rolling load capacity of this winch on a 5 degree incline is approximately 13,000 pounds.
The second winch I recommend is the

Winch Recommendation for Lifting a 200 lb Boat 10 or 12 ft With a Drill Option- The Dutton-Lainson Worm Gear Winch, # DL11001, will work great to hoist your 200 lb boat. The hex head allows you to use either the included handle or a heavy-duty 1/2 inch drill.
Worm gear winches are great for hoisting objects because they do not have a free wheel option and the load cannot reverse the direction of the winch.

But a steeper incline will reduce the capacity.

Easy Winch to Crank to Lift the Roof on Bunny Cages- Using a winch like # FT13000301 will provide more mechanical advantage than just a straight pull a person can do with their hands. To make it easier still, you will need to make sure that the cable is going straight from pulley to pulley and straight out of the winch.
The longer the handle on a winch, the easier it will be to crank and a winch with 2 speeds will be easier than that. A winch like # DL15502, would make it very easy. It can be used with a strap # DL24249 or cable # DL24045.

With the cable wrapped around three times, the capacity would be about 3000 lbs.

Shelby Trailer Winch # 5353 Brake Is Slipping Even Though Handle is Tight- There are a couple of things you can check on your Shelby winch, # 5353. First, if there is very little or no load on the winch the brake will not work properly. If the cable is not moving out, do not continue to turn the handle counter-clockwise. If you do it will disengage the brake mechanism. Make sure to follow the minimum operating load as indicated on the winch/in the manual.
You can also inspect the brake mechanism and brake disc. Remove the handle and retainer assembly and disc brake

Getting the Correct Capacity Trailer Hand Winch for a 3,500 Pound Boat- Finding the right capacity winch for a boat and boat trailer depends on a few factors. Boat-size-to-winch capacity is generally 2 to 1, but if you have a trailer with good rollers and short winch distances that ratio can increase to 3 to 1. The opposite is also true. If you have wooden bunks and long winching distances the ratio is 1 to 1.
Also, the capacity of a winch goes down 10 percent for every additional layer of strap or cable on the drum which is why winching distance is important.
