If you can locate the appropriate u-bolts, you can by all means use them. You would need a u-bolt with a 3-1/2 inch span, center to center with legs no longer than 3 inches.

Can a Gooseneck Trailer Stabilizer Jack be Used on a 5th Wheel Trailer with an Adapter Installed- It sounds like you have the Anderson Ultimate connection # AM3225 or # AM3200. In either case since the adapter part that fits on the king pin can easily be removed I recommend going with a 5th wheel stabilizer, see link.
You could use the gooseneck type and keep the adapter on but it is just one more link in the chain instead of a direct connection between the king pin and the stabilizer which would be more ideal.
