Need to Reposition Spare Tire when Installing Curt Class IV # 14250 on 140 Inch Wheelbase Sprinter- According to Curt Manufacturing, the # 14250 Class IV receiver can be installed on the 140 inch single (not dual) rear wheel model without the need to relocate the spare tire. It is only the 118 inch wheelbase models that would require the spare tire to be relocated.

- In the instructions which I have linked for you, Curt states that drilling is required on 2500 models but not 3500 models when installing trailer hitch # 13255. If you plan on doing some towing with your new hitch, I recommend the etrailer ball mount kit, # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts, 2 balls, a hitch pin and clip, and a carrying bag.
