Should a Diode be Installed In Line Between a Motor Home and 2012 Honda CR-V to Charge the Battery- A diode should not be required since you will be disconnecting the CR-V from the motor home to drive it. So in other words there should not be any back feeding problems. The preferred method is to use a battery isolator kit # RM-765. This will provide a constant charge to your CR-V battery to prevent a dead battery and maintain the charge level for accessories. I have included a link to the installation details and a link to our FAQ on tow bar wiring.
