Differences Between the Thule Flat Top Snowboard Carrier # TH91725 and the Newer # TH92725- The only difference between the Thule Snowboard Carrier # TH92725 and the older model # TH91725 is the way it installs.

Ski Carrier Adapter Recommendation that Fits a Rhode Gear Trailer Hitch Mount Bike Rack- You may actually be able to use the Yakima HitchSki Snowboard and Ski Carrier, # Y02418. I did a test fit on the Rhode Gear Highway 4 Bike Carrier, # RG8015221, and the 2 are compatible. As long as you have this bike rack you can use the HitchSki.
You would need to make sure the bike rack cradles are turn inward and you will have to turn the straps around to attach them to the bike rack, but it will work. I took a picture showing the 2 together.

Will Thule Flat Top Ski and Snowboard Carrier Fit a 2012 Acura MDX and have Clearance for Bindings- I checked with Thule and they do list the Flat Top Ski and Snowboard Carrier, # TH92725, as a fit for a 2012 Acura MDX with factory crossbars that run side to side. You mentioned that from the roof to the top of the crossbar is 3 inches.
If you add another 3-3/8 inches to that measurement, that will be from the top of the crossbar to the surface of the rack where the boards will rest. This means that you should have approximately 6-3/8 inches of clearance from the roof to the snowboard.
