• You do not have to have the anti-sway cages, # TH955, if you do not want them. However, using them greatly reduces the movement of the bikes and I think it is well worth it to add them. I know on my Thule bike rack, before I strap the anti-sway cage to the bikes they do move quite a bit. But after strapping the bikes to them, the bikes hardly move at all.
