  • Will Pilot 4 Inch Diameter Fog Lights Fit 4 Inch Holes on Aftermarket Air Dam on 1997 Ford F-150
  • The 4 inch diameter Pilot fog lights, # PL-360C should be no problem in the 4 inch openings on your 1997 Ford F-150. It will be a nice tight fit with no ugly gaps between the air dam and the lights. If you have your old lights lying around still you could measure those just for comparison purposes. Four inches is fairly common so the old ones might be about the same.

  • Will the the Hopkins Back Up Alarm Fit both a Ford 2009 F-150 as well as a Ford 2013 F-150
  • I have checked with my contact at Hopkins, and it looks like both the 2009 and 2013 Ford F-150 use a 921 bulb. Hopkins does not currently have a back up alarm system that is compatible with this tail light bulb style. If you would like you could use the Curt # C57102 or the #C57101. These are replacment trailer connectors that have also have a back up alarm included. If your trucks currently have a factory installed 7-way you will want to use the # C57101 as a direct replacement. If...

  • The Bully Bumper Mount Backup Light # PL-807 is designed for hard-wired installation by connecting to the reverse light circuit of your Chevrolet pickup. It is not intended to connect to a 4-pole or 5-pole flat trailer connector. Installation is simple. You will connect the black (ground) wire to a clean bare metal surface on the vehicle or you can use an existing grounding point behind one of the tail light assemblies if one is available. The fused (red) power input wire will splice...

  • Replacement Back-Up Bulb With Audible Alert For 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Pickup Truck
  • I did some research on your 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 pickup. According to the owners manual, the back-up lamp for your pickup is 1156. For a replacement bulb with the audible alert you would want part # HM20100VA. You will need to check the bulbs on your vehicle or vehicles to determine if they take the 1156 bulb. If they do, then you can use this alert.

  • Can the Putco PURE LED Tailgate Light Bar # P9000960 be Hard Wired for Brake Lights and Turn Signal
  • Hard wiring the Putco PURE LED Tailgate Light Bar, # P9000960, for the brake light and turn signal will void the warranty of the light, but I do have a solution for you. Instead of hard wiring the light and voiding the warranty, I recommend using a 4-pole wiring harness, like part # 18252. You can plug the light into this harness and hard wire this harness keeping the warranty intact. Before installing a wiring harness, you will want to verify whether your truck has combined or separate...

  • Load Resistors Needed to Install LED Bulbs In GMC Sierra
  • Per Putco, you would need 1 load resistor inline with the wiring harness feeding LED bulb for a turn signal. I believe your Sierra has two bulbs per side, one for the running lamp, one for the brake/turn signal. You only need to install Load Resistors on the circuits feeding the turn signals. I would recommend the Putco # P230004A-2 resistors. Their finned aluminum body will be very effective at shedding excess heat. I have provided a diagram showing how the resistors should be wired.

You can use Surface Mount Back-Up Alarm, part # BK97DB. This unit could be mounted under the vehicle behind the bumper and is easily installed by tapping into the reverse lamp circuit.

  • Is an Additional Wiring Harness Required for Use with the Halogen Replacement Bulbs #P239006SW
  • The additional wiring harness is recommended to be used with the Putco PURE High Performance bulbs, due to the additional heat that is produced when using a halogen bulb vs. a traditional tungsten bulb. This additional heat can cause problems with the mounting and installation of the bulbs, as well as the wiring for the bulbs. For example for the Putco pigtail wiring harness # P239006HD the plug on this harness is a hard and insulated plastic that prevents heat related damage from...
