Models for just the 1621 should not be used on the HD models. The 5th Airborne will cut down on chucking (back and forth shock from starts and stops) by up to 60 percent. What I did was to go out to the warehouse and take a measurement on the Tri-Glide, # UF35-946229. Can a 5th Airborne and Sidewinder be Used with a SuperGlide Trailer Hitch- Since you have a 6-1/2 foot bed and a slider hitch you would most likely not need a 5th Airborne with a Sidewinder like # ST500-5AS02 because the additional clearance should not be required. Replacing a Reese Revolution Sidewinder with a Trailair Tri-Glide King Pin- First, you would need to determine which Sidewinder or Revolution is on the trailer. DIferent trailer frames have different dimensions and hole mounting patterns for the pin boxes so unless the trailer would take a Lippert 1621 pin box normally then # UF35-946229 would not fit. If it would take a Lippert 1621 pin box then you can use the Tri-Glide and it will bolt up in place of the Revolution.

Height Clearance Needed Between Top of Truck Bed Rails and Bottom of 5th Wheel Trailer Loft- In order to prevent the top of the bed sides from contacting the underside of the trailer loft during turns on uneven terrain, you will need a minimum of six inches of clearance between the bottom of the loft and the top of your truck bed side rails.

Is a Reese Revolution or Sidewinder Compatible with a Curt E5 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch- There are certain 5th wheel hitches that are not compatible with the Revolution or Sidewinder. The Curt E5 will not be a problem but you will have to keep the hitch locked in the towing position and never slide it back. 5th Airborne Air Ride Pinbox with Sidewinder Pops When Turret Turns- This is a fairly common occurrence. The popping sound you hear happens when either the turret bolts have been over tightened or if the wear surfaces are in need of lubrication.
You will need to remove the unit from the pin box, and remove the turret bolts, and the retaining plate and ring. You can then remove the turret. Apply some aerosol white lithium grease to the bearing surfaces, and then reassemble and retorque the turret bolts to the rating mentioned in the installation instructions.

5th Wheel Trailer Overhang Hits Top of Truck Bed Going Up and Down Hills- What you will want to do is raise the 5th wheel trailer hitch up higher and the pin box on the trailer lower. When parked on level ground and with the trailer level you should have at least 6 inches of clearance between the trailer overhang and the top of the bed side rails.

Is there a Specific PSI rating for a 5th Airborne Air Ride Coupler when Storing in the Winter- I spoke with my contact at 5th Airborne and he stated that you can leave the air bag inflated to the pressure that it is currently at provided it is within the recommended 80 to 100 psi range as indicated in the instructions. What are the Dimensions of the Fifth Wheel Trailer King Pin # T809- What you are describing sounds like a pin box. The part that is angled up would be at the front so when you hitch up to the 5th wheel hitch the skid plate on the hitch and pin box will make contact with each other.

Sidewinder Pin Box Recommendation for a 2012 Dodge Ram with RamBox and B and W 5th Wheel Hitch- We do have a solution for your situation. You could use a Sidewinder replacement king pin, like part # RP61422, to replace the Lippert 1621 pin box on your trailer.
When adding the Sidewinder, you will be causing the trailer to pivot at the pin box attachment wings and the pin box itself will not swing in the truck bed so you will be able to make a 90 degree turn without damage to the Ram Box bedsides, or the truck cab.
