Hose Length in a Derale Remote Engine Oil Cooler and How Far from the Engine Can it be Mounted- An engine oil cooler with fan, like # D15450, has a 10 foot OEM spec hose. Provided that you are within the range of the hose you should not see any significant change in oil pressure or flow when using this kit. Because this system has its own fan, it can be mounted anywhere that you have space in the engine compartment.

Can Transmissions and Engine Oil Coolers be Mounted Vertically- As long as the fins on the Derale Cooler # D15604 or # D13611 are facing out so they can get airflow then you can mount them vertically if you needed to. Will Oil Filter Need to Be Relocated when Installing a Remote Engine Cooler on a 2110 VW Engine- When installing the Derale Hyper-Cool Remote Engine Cooler Kit, # D15660, the oil filter is not moved, it is installed onto the bottom side of the sandwich adapter, # D15735, that is included in the kit. The sandwich adapter is installed on the engine block semi permanently and then the filter is installed and removed from the adapter for oil changes.

Will Adding an Engine oil Cooler Reduce Engine Temperature on a 2004 Chevy Silverado- Cooling the oil might have a small effect on the overall temperature of the engine as a whole, but it will not be very much. If the truck is running hot, there could be a problem with the thermostat. If that checks out, you may need to add additional fans for more airflow. Where to Relocate the Oil Filter when Using a Derale Plate-Fin Engine Oil Cooler # D15451- When you install this onto your 2001 Toyota Tundra you will screw the adapter from this kit onto where your factory oil filter installs and then use the included mount to relocate the oil filter somewhere else.
When picking out a place to relocate the oil filter to you will need to find a location out of the way of moving parts that the filter might interfere with, or areas that have excessive heat.

Do Any Factory OEM Components Need to be Replaced to Install Engine Oil Cooler # D15602- I spoke with my contact at Derale. He stated that you will not have to replace any components to install the Engine Oil Cooler Kit, # D15602.
When installing an engine oil cooler, you will need to make sure there is enough room for the sandwich adapter and oil filter. With the adapter in place, the oil filter will stick out about 2 inches further. Make sure you have enough room to remove and reinstall the filter with the adapter in place.

Oil Filter Location on the Stacked-Plate Engine Oil Cooler Kit with Spin-On Adapter, # D15651- The Derale Stacked-Plate Engine Oil Cooler Kit with Spin-On Adapter, # D15651, comes with an adapter to insert the oil filter. It looks like the Derale Remote Oil Filter Mount, # D25005.
The specs on the spin-on adapter included with the D15651 kit are:
Inlet/Outlet ports: 1/2 inch NPT
Filter thread: 3/4 inch-16
O-ring diameters: 2-1/2 inches, 2-3/4 inches and 3-1/2 inches

Does Installing an Engine Oil Cooler and Remote Oil Filter Require Adding More Oil- You will need to add oil to compensate for the extra capacity of an oil cooler and filter on your 1994 Chevy K1500. These components will retain some oil when the engine is not running, much like your current oil filter, but it will not be to their full capacity.
The remote oil filter can be mounted anywhere in the engine compartment.
