Expert Answers about Cargo Tie Downs

  • Cargo Net Recommendation to Secure Cargo in the Back of a Toyota Prius
  • A small cargo net like # 7330 might do the trick. When it is stretched it measures 60 inches by 84 inches. If the material is taught when installed then it being stretchy should not be an issue. Even if there were some slack in a stretch net, a thick and strong material might have some play but would keep items under its grasp. Another option is the Hopkins GoGear Multifunction Truck Bed Cargo, # CARGO-NET-TRI. This net will offer more surface area coverage than a bungee cable net. It has a c

The cargo net # 7330 can stretch to be 84 inches long and 60 inches wide so it would fit the basket with the extension installed. I have included a link to a video review of the net for you. I also linked a video on the Rola basket.

  • Erickson Cargo Net Recommendation for Use with a 16 ft by 9 ft Utility Trailer
  • If I were you I would go with 2 Erickson Cargo Nets # EM01015. I believe this would provide you with the best possible coverage. If you combine 2 of these nets you would have enough net to cover a 16 ft by 6 ft area unstretched. With the stretching ability of the nets allowing you to cover the remaining 3 feet with enough tightness to keep everything secure.

  • Will a 20 inch by 60 inch Cargo Net work on a 24 inch by 60 inch Cargo Carrier
  • The Curt Stretchable Cargo Net # C18202 that you referenced would stretch enough to fit your 24 inch by 60 inch cargo carrier. We do not carry a 24 inch by 60 inch cargo net, but stretching the # C18202 an extra 4 inches would work just fine.

  • Cargo Net Suitable for Rola Cargo Basket # 59504 Used with Extension # 59505
  • When laid out flat, the Rola Cargo Net measures 36 by 48 inches. When the extension is added to the basket, it will be 70 inches long, too long for the net to stretch. The Curt Stretchable Cargo Net, part # C18201 would be a better choice for you. At 38 by 65 inches, the net will provide plenty of stretch to accommodate your cargo. You might also want to consider a wheel step like part # TH2100 which would make accessing your rooftop cargo much easier, not to mention safer.

  • Cargo Net Recommendations for a Cargo Carrier that is 60 Inches Wide
  • The Rola Flat Strap Cargo Net, # 59200, will probably work for your 60 inch wide cargo carrier, but it may not be able to hold loads that extend past the cargo carrier side walls. This net measures 48 inches unstretched so 60 inches does not give the net much room to hold taller loads. Instead, I would recommend either the Curt Stretchable Cargo Net, # C18202, or the SportRack Cargo Net, # A21035. Both of these nets measure 60 inches wide unstretched and would give you plenty of flexibility

  • Looking for Cargo Net Measuring 8 by 12 Feet for 5 by 10 Foot Trailer
  • The HitchMate StretchWeb Cargo Net, part # HE4256 would be ideal for your application. Its un-stretched dimension is 6 by 12 feet, it would easily stretch to the size you need. Keep in mind, that the net is not intended to secure heavy items. It would work well for the cardboard boxes, as long as they are not very heavy, but for heavier items you would want to use tie down straps like the Erickson # 51333, which are sold individually. I will link you to our selection of ratchet straps. You wi

  • Cargo Net Compatibility with a Rola Roof Mounted Cargo Basket
  • The Rola Flat Strap Cargo Net, part # 59200, will fit your Rola Roof Mounted Cargo Basket, part # 59504. This cargo net uses flat straps with a bungee cord net that allows it to grip a variety of different items. The Rola cargo net provides plenty of strength, but that is dependent upon the type of terrain you are traveling on and the weight of the times on the roof rack. For heavier items you may want to use ratcheting straps like the Retractable Ratchet Straps with Push Button Release, par

  • Is the CURT Cargo Net Good for Securing Lawn Mowers, Weed Eaters, and Heavy Equipment
  • The CURT Cargo Net, # C18202, is on par with all of the nets we carry. The material is your basic elastic cord and works well for cargo. Heavier items would probably be held in place better with straps like the Erickson Re-Tractable Ratchet Straps, # EM34415.

  • Recommendation for a Cargo Net for a Duck Boat with a Fold Down Duck Blind
  • When the net is stretched out all the way on the Erickson Cargo Net, # EM01015, the square gaps will be approximately 25 inches by 25 inches. The net is only supposed to be stretched 75 percent beyond its original 72x96 inch dimensions. This would be 126 x 168 inches (10-1/2 x 14 feet). What would probably work better if you were using more than one anyway would be the Hopkins GoGear Multifunction Truck Bed Cargo Net, # CARGO-NET-TRI, if you wanted more coverage on the blind. The mesh style

  • What is the Stretched Size of the Erickson Stretchable Truck Bed Cargo Net
  • I went out to the warehouse and pulled an Erickson Stretchable Truck Bed Cargo Net, # EM01012. According to the included safety sheet, the net should not be stretched more than 75 percent of its unstretched dimensions (52 x 70 inches). • Availability of a Cargo Net That Will Securely Hold Plastic Containers In Rear of Honda Odyssey
  • The Highland Adjustable Heavy Duty Truck Cargo Net, part # 95006, does not list a breaking strength. I went out to the warehouse to look at this product and will try to help explain the size of the straps on the net to help you figure out if it will work for you. It comes with six 1/4 inch diameter bungee cords that will attach to the four corners and the two mid points of the net. The adjustable cross straps are one inch woven nylon and allow you to tighten the net around the load after you

  • Bungee Cargo Net Needed for a 4 x 8 Utility Trailer and 2001 Chevy Blazer Are Sizes Stretched or Not
  • The size listed on the product page for the Bungee Cargo Net, # 59200 is 36 inches x 48 inches unstretched. All of our cargo net sizes are unstretched unless otherwise indicated. This net would most likely be just a bit too small for your utility trailer. I would recommend one of the following 3 cargo nets. Deluxe Bungee Truck Net, # 95005, which is 60 x 78 inches unstretched and would be a good choice if you will be stacking things higher than where the hooks attach on the trailer. Spi

  • Can the Thule Cargo Net Be Used to Secure a Cargo Bag and Other Contents on a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer
  • The Thule Cargo Net, # TH692, has an unstretched size of 40 inches by 36 inches so it should fit when stretched for your application. The hooks around the sides of the net are designed more for the Thule M.O.A.B., # TH690. But, they will still be able to hook onto flat/elongated crossbars and side rails, but not rounded bars. It is also possible to stretch the ends over and around the bars, then hook it to itself. I have included a link to a video review of the net for you to view.

  • I went out into our warehouse and pulled an Erickson ATV Cargo Net - 28 inch x 28 inch, part # EM01014, to measure. When the net is completely stretched out the dimensions are 52 inches in width by 59 inches in length, with a diagonal measurement of 59 inches. • How Much Will Erickson Cargo Net for Pickups - 72 Inch x 96 Inch, # EM01015 Stretch
  • I spoke with my contact at Erickson and she stated that the Erickson Cargo Net for Pickups - 72 inch x 96 inch, # EM01015, will stretch about 50 percent more than its current size. So that would be 108 inches x 144 inches (9 feet by 12 feet) maximum. This net might be a little too large for the 4-1/2 x 8-1/2 x 2 foot trailer you have. The smaller (6-1/2 x 5 feet) Deluxe Bungee Truck Net, # 95005, might be a better fit for your application. At maximum stretch, it will be 9-3/4 x 7-1/2 feet.

  • I spoke with the manufacturer, and they have not tested for a weight capacity of the SportRack Safari Cargo Net with Bag for Roof Mounted Baskets, 40 x 35 inches, part # A21033. It is not a heavy-duty net, and is only designed to be used as a covering net for a roof rack or cargo carrier. All of the nets we offer are designed as top nets for cargo carriers or truck beds.
