Can a 3-1/2 Inch Spool Roller be Used in Place of a 4 Inch Spool Roller- The short rollers will only be a problem if they present gaps in coverage or are otherwise not large enough for where they make contact with the boat. And if the play in them is too much, that could cause the boat to shift in transit. You can take up the space using washers. Ideally, you would want to replace the rollers with the right size like the 4 inch spool roller # YR410Y-4 that you have referenced.

Availability of 7-1/2-inch-long V-Shaped Replacement Keel Roller for Boat Trailer- My contact at Yates Rubber advises that a nominal 8-inch keel roller does not measure exactly 8 inches; typically they are slightly smaller than the specified size, much the way a piece of 2 x 4 lumber is not exactly 2-inches by 4-inches. I took measurements of several replacement rollers and confirmed that the 8-inch size generally measures 7-5/16 (just the roller itself) and 7-3/4 inches including the nylon bushings on each end.
For examples, the Redline # 812 and the Dutton-Lainson # DL217

Adding Roller Bunks to a Boat Trailer with 8 Foot Carpeted Bunks- What I recommend for you is exactly what you have suggested. Use a total of 2 sets, 1 set of each center bunk, to reach the 8 feet you need. These will secure directly to the tops of the existing bunks. You will not need to replace the bunks. I have included a link to a video review of these bunks for you.
The capacity is for a set. So if all the weight was ever on one set of bunks it would exceed the capacity. But since the weight is being dispersed it will not exceed the capacity.

Next, with everything assembled on the shaft, put the other pal nut on the other end of the shaft and use a hammer to tap the top pal nut onto the shaft. Mounting Boat Trailer Bunk Boards to Vertical Bunk Boards that Tilt- I like the idea of using a shaft and pal nuts. That way there is less of a chance of it binding up like what might happen if you used regular nuts and bolts. You would have to make sure the shaft has the capacity for the load that you are going to put on it. A shaft like # CE10727A as an example is a solid steel bar, 5/8 inches in diameter and while it does not have an official capacity it would be very sturdy. Installing Bunk Carpet # FCR8008 on Boat Trailer- Bunk Carpet like the part # FCR8008 you mention is typically stapled or glued into place. If you decide on using staples, make sure you shoot the staples into the underside of the bunk board so that the boat will not be scratched. A combination of outdoor carpet adhesive and stainless staples would be your best bet.
The carpet is not self-sticking.

Using Bunk Rollers Like # DL21741 on PWC Trailer- The roller bunks can certainly be used to replace the bunk boards on your PWC trailer, I use them on my PWC trailer and they work very well. You will need to ensure that the profile on the bottom of your PWC can handle the extra width of the rollers. Where the end of the 2 x 4 that the PWC rests on is typically 1.5 inches thick, these rollers would be 4-3/4 inches wide. You would need to ensure that portion of the hull that the bunks ride against are is wide enough to so that the rollers would r

Does Boat Buddy # KBB2 Replace the Roller on a 2003 Centurion Boat Trailer- The Kodiak Boat Buddy II, part # KBB2, is for boats with U-bolt eyes with drive-on trailers. The Boat Buddy is designed to replace the 3-inch to 4-inch roller or V-block on your trailer. As your boat is driven onto the trailer, the bow eye contacts the Boat Buddy and triggers a spring loaded, stainless steel bolt through the bow eye, thereby attaching the boat to the trailer. So the U-bolt does need to go up against the Boat Buddy.

Can a Keel Roller for a Boat Trailer be placed on the Middle of a Boat Trailer- Normally, you will see keel rollers near the back of a boat trailer to help guide it on. If a roller would cause the boat to ride too high, you may want to re-think where the roller can be positioned.
You may be able to back the trailer up further to limit how much side to side travel the boat can do. If I u
