The screws that you see go through the top of the deflector and into the hole in the clip. Moisture is sealed out with the round washers. The clips are actually contoured to fit your 2012 Nissan Altima and they are kind of S shaped. They fit in the metal lip of the sunroof opening. There is no tape or drilling required.

How do the Weathertech Side Window Deflectors Install on a 2011 Nissan Sentra- These Weather Tech Side Window Air Deflectors # WT72446 actually install very easily. It is a little difficult to describe how they attach, but basically you will need to slightly bend the deflectors to get them in place and then once you release the bend the tension of the deflector holds it in place. There are no adhesives to mess with or anything else.

How to install EGR In-Channel Slimline Air Deflectors and Remove Old Tape on Air Deflectors- The EGR In-Channel Slimline Window Visors, item # 574861, are installed by positioning the visors leading edge in the window track with the window down and then slightly bending it and working the visor into the window track all the way to the rear.
