Can a ST225/75D15 Trailer Tire be Swapped out for a ST225/75R15- The difference between the ST225/75D15 and the ST225/75R15 is the way the tire is constructed. The D in the ST225/75D15 size means that it is a bias-ply tire whereas the R in the ST225/75R15 means that it is a radial tire.
Radial tires are preferred because the tire has more flex and will allow for more ground contact. That will improve traction and better tread wear. It also gives the radial tire better stability. Radials will also run cooler.
So long story short, you could swap out the b

How to Determine If Wheels are Hub Centric or Lug Centric on a Boat Trailer- There are two main types of wheels, hub-centric wheels and lug-centric wheels. Bias ply tires have a stiffer sidewall and are generally more durable and suited to off-road use, while radial tires are more flexible a

What Aluminum Trailer Rim Sizes Will Accept a 215/74-14 Trailer Tire- If you look at just a 215/75-14 trailer tire, like # AM1ST90 or # AM10229, they will fit on a 14 x 6 inch rim.
