I am very satisfied with the Voyager brake Controller I purchased. It is the easiest unit to adjust that I have ever owned. The controls are easy to adjust and it has worked well with my trailers.

I have no issues with the unit. It is the best controller I have used.

etrailer makes the purchase easy. I have always used Tekonsha Voyagers, and on my new truck (2015 Silverado) I also wanted the convenience of having the plug and play wiring harness. etrailer had exactly what I needed and was very easy to find on the website. Installation was flawless and clean thanks to the good hardware supplied. Very excited to put some trailers behind the truck with the stopping power confidence that comes with the Voyager.

Working great! The mandatory leveling process was successful and the unit functions as intended.

The Tekonsha Voyager trailer brake controller works well in my 99 Silverado 1500, which was easy to setup for my trailer. The option to allow for different settings of aggression for the trailer braking has allowed the stopping with different loads to be graceful with the turn of a knob. Decided to install the controller in CD storage with velcro for a nice look. Easy access when in place during use for easy observation and twicking during operation. The wife can assist with the twicking while I am driving. Excellent product!

The Voyager unit has been working flawlessly this past year. Excellent product that keeps on working!

Completely plug and play installation and works flawlessly, very happy with this unit. I also ordered the exact harness for my 2005 f150 with tow package. Here are a couple of hints that may be helpful. My installation also required a 30 amp cartridge fuse to be installed in the fuse panel in location #105(electric trailer brakes) under the dash on the passenger side. I also installed a relay in location r05 (trailer tow battery charge) but I don't think this is needed for the controller to function. I still had the original trailer brake kit and it had the additional fuse panel instructions and the relay. The owners manual showed where the 30 amp fuse and relay plugs in. You cannot test this unit until a trailer with brakes is connected, ie the led will not light up until it senses a brake circuit.

This is my second Tekonsha; I had to replace my 10-year old one after I accidentally broke it.

This one is a bit of an upgrade, and is easily able to lock up the disc brakes on my 15,000 lb trailer. Adjusting it properly, I'm able to brake as though there were no trailer at all. Set it, and forget it. It doesn't get any easier than that.

Installed in my 2018 Silverado Custom. I ordered the additional wiring harness and the install took less than thirty minutes. Plug and Play at its simplest. Thank You etrailer.

Received this yesterday and was able to install it today. Instructions were very easy to follow and the only problem I had installing it was contorting myself to install the bracket. Once I got the bracket in place the rest was a piece of cake. Went for a test drive as the instructions suggested and did have to tweak it a little but it's doing exactly what I expect it to do. I'll be hauling a John Deere Tractor and wanted to make sure the brakes on the trailer worked.

This was an easy install on my 2019 GMC truck using the appropriate wiring adapter. Instructions for setting up the control were clear. After a few adjustments my trailer brakes worked as they should. Minor adjustments of the controller are needed from time to time, but overall the controller is reliable. Good value.

After a years use it work good and has been very reliable. I may still upgrade to a modern version if I use multiple trailers but hate to upgrade as long as it is working.

I tried to purchase through my local business and was told that my vehicle was not wired for the brake control. They also refused to install since it was not factory wired for it. So I looked up etrailer and my vehicle info and sure enough my vehicle is factory wired and the picture you provided I was able verify the plug so I could order with confidence in a mater of 10 minutes. The unit showed up with correct wiring harness so my total install time was only 30 minutes. I can’t ask for anything more! Thank you!!!!

The product was easy to install with the help of the F-250 adapter. I followed the direction and the product worked just as it was advertised from etrailer.com. If I had to give the Tekonsha Voyager Trailer Break Controller a star rating from 1-5, I would give it a 4.5.

by:

Easy installation and seems to be a great product. I also used the harness for my 07 new body Silverado for a easy install. Videos are a great help as well . I will purchase all of my trailer and RV needs from ETrailer from now on.

A premium product for braking and stopping your trailer vehicle

by:

Provides braking as advertised. The mount is a bit obtrusive and permanent. If you're looking for a smaller form-factor or the ability to move between vehicles, look at more expensive models.

Great..easy installation..easy to adjust..worked fine

Last year I traded my Silverado for a Yukon to tow my 21’ camper. The hitch tube was integrated into the Yukon bumper and those 20” wheels raised the tube height 7”. I purchased your 13” drop shank to level my hitch/camper connection but experienced trailer “sway” because of that long shank. I fabricated a set of “sway bars” to tame that movement. Now I can tow my camper safely. Thank you for making this long drop shank available for taller tow vehicles!

One of your reps contacted me with a suitable replacement for the trailer brake i order that was in stock, as the one ordered would take an extra week for delivery. That is awesome customer service, proactive thinking and regards for customer needs. Also, etrailer didnt charge me until the item shipped. That is professionalism and integrity. This is the example of what American business used to be and should be, character and service matter. Kudos etrailer staff!

Difficult to adjust. It would grab too hard, so I would adjust the power and/or level down, then the trailer was pushing me. Adjust up, then it grabbed too hard again. After a few months of very light use, it started grabbing very hard even with the power and level turned way down, although that may have had something to do with the fact that water got into my 7-way plug and made the controller come on when nothing was connected. I strongly recommend upgrading to the primus or other model with digital voltage display and boost function. I have a primus now, and it performs much better.

I have a 12 ton backhoe pro trailer it has 4 short axles 2 on each side. It does not have dual wheels. It has 8 wheels with 8 sets of brakes so I needed a controller for 4 axles. This controller has worked well the settings are a little touchy but it works great. My truck is a 4 speed and i usually have the controller set so if I let off of the gas like coming to a stop the controller slows the whole rig without touching the brake. I like the indicator light to see what it is doing and that it is connected right

by:

Nice controller, compact and good instructions. I cut the plug and hard wired on my application (98 Sierra) Had no issues.

by:

Very pleased with the technical description provided on the website for this item and other brake controllers. I did not understand how brake controllers worked nor the differences between the different models. I confidently selected the right controller for my application because of the information presented.

Not even 2 years after install all rusty. Electric brake pin broke due to rust.
Impossible To remove 4 bolt holding connector due To rust. I do not recommend

by:

This installation is in a 2010 Ford F-150 Lariat
The installation was very easy. It helps to have a 90 degree screwdriver to install the
screws on the right side. The screws will install easier if you install them first, remove them
and re-install after the bracket is installed on the vehicle.
