This is a fantastic product. It save me $120.00 to have a special wiring harness installed on my Mercedes M 350 to enable the LED lights of a U-Haul trailer. Just plug it into the Mercedes factory installed trailer light socket and it provides the proper resistance for the system to read and light the LED trailer lights. 57068

Finally found the adapter that fits my car. I have a Mercedes 550 ML And I went to the Mercedes dealer to buy and adapter and was told they did not make the part. So I called e trailer and they sent me the adapter they had it in stock, now I can go to the Florida Keys hauling my trailer (2 Yahama SHO) thanks to the great help from the people at e trailer.52000

Used on my 2008 BMW X5 and trailer with LED lights. Before I used this, my BMW didn't even recognize the trailer and power the lights at all. Using this device, the BMW's computer still "thought" only the running lights were burned out and had a little triangle warning on the dash, but everything worked just fine. Turn signals flashed at a regular rate.49985

I use this adaptor on my 2005 BMW X3 with a factory BMW hitch kit pulling a boat trailer that is set up with LED lights. Works perfect now as turn signals no longer flash rapidly.43410

Wast of money, stops blinking temporarily, until your fuses blow......does not solve led problem when hooked up to range rover, bo37238

I have a 2001 BMW E53 X5 with the factory tow package. It has a 7 blade round connecotr, however my tailer for the jetski and jet boat both have the 4 flat connector. None of the trailers have LED at the moment and I doubt that I will ever convert them to LED. I need an adapter connector so that I can connect the trailer lights to the BMW connector.

Something like PK12716 should fit the bill just fine.

  • Trailer Turn Signals Only Work if Running Lights and Brake Lights are On, 2007 Nissan Quest
  • This could be a ground problem. A bad ground connection can cause all sorts of problems. First check the trailer connectors on the vehicle and on the trailer for any dirt or corrosion and clean them out. Corrosion can also build up behind the connectors where the wires attach. On the vehicle side, make sure that the main ground is attached to a clean bare metal surface on the frame. On the trailer side connector, again make sure that the main ground is attached to a clean metal surface. Us

  • Will 7-Way to 5-and 4-Way Trailer Adapter TR20141 Fix Flashing Trailer Lights, 2010 Mercedes GL450
  • If the trailer has LED lights and you are having issues with them not working then you would need to use adapter # TR20141. To plug in a 4-Way, you would just not use the last opening on the adapter. That would be for a 5-Way flat (it works with both 4-Way and 5-Way flat connectors). In the event that the 4-Way on the trailer is not conducive to this design because of a rubber or plastic covering, you may have to trim it or replace the 4-Way end with a compatible one like # 18004.

  • Will Tow Ready Wiring Adapter # TR20141 Work With Trailers Using LED or Incandescent Lighting
  • The Tow Ready Trailer Wiring Adapter, part # TR20141, you have referenced will work with both incandescent or LED lights on a trailer. This adapter is designed to be used on vehicles with incandescent lights towing a trailer with LED lights. The Lamp Out Warning Module on your BMW X3 is a feature that lets you know of a bulb that is burned out on your vehicle. It also passes through the trailer wiring. When towing with a trailer that has LED lights, which require less power then incandescent

  • Reverse Electric Lockout Not Working on Trailer and 2010 BMW X5 with OEM Wiring Harness
  • You are correct about the bulb out sensor and the adapter # TR20141. There are load resistors built into the adapter to provide more load so that you do not get that sensor. The solenoid should have enough draw without it but it might help. Since it works as it should when connecting the trailer to another vehicle that does sound like and issue on the vehicle side or with the adpater. Be sure to check that the output pin on the adpater matches the one on the trailer that leads to the solenoi

  • Will the Tow Ready 7-Way to 5-Way and 4-Way Adapter Work on a 2005 Land Rover LR3
  • Yes, the Tow Ready 7-way to 5-way and 4-way Adapter, # TR20141, will work with your 2005 Land Rover LR3 as long as your factory 7-way trailer connector. This adapter was originally designed for certain European vehicles with incandescent tail lights and factory trailer wiring that have bulb out sensors to let you know if one of your tail light bulbs are burned out. On some European vehicles, the bulb out sensor runs through the factory trailer wiring as well. Since LEDs on trailers use only
