The gauge wire used to provide power to the 7-Way is too small to effectively charge a battery, but it will provide enough power to keep it from draining.

• The 12v lead should be connected to the first prong clockwise from the top of your 7-way plug, but you will need to double check your existing application to confirm that it is wired this way. The color of this wire is typically black. I would recommend you use a Quickee Circuit Tester, part # 3808, to determine if you have power at this post. If not you should check the wiring on the back of the 7-way connector and then follow it back looking for any cuts, or corrosion that might be shorting
