I was in need of a wiring connector to attach my Kompact kamp motorcycle trailer,
having a 6 pin square connection, to my Harley Davidson Tri glide, having a 7 pin
round connection. I happened upon the etrailer.com web site, did a search and
easily found the connector I needed, so I placed the order. The following day, I
received a personal phone call from a staff member at etrailer letting me know the
item I ordered was on back order and would be shipped as soon as possible. Within
a week, I received a email letting me know my order had been shipped, which I
received when expected. The following day, I received a follow-up email from etrailer
stating they had been notified my order was delivered and provided contact information
should I have any questions or concerns.

Long story short, AWESOME Customer Care, and I'm now riding with trailer in tow.

Chuck from Ocala Florida

If your Viking pop up trailer has a 6-way square connector yes, the Hopkins 6-Way Square to 6-Way round # HM47415 would fit and work well. I attached a review video for this adapter for you to check out as well.

  • What Would be Needed for Ford F-150 to Connect to 6-Way to 4-Way Square HM47415
A Ford F-150 is most likely not going to have a 6-way like what the part # HM47415 is designed to fit. You'd also need to use a 7-way to 6-way part # 47549 since your truck would have a 7-way installed on it.

  • Creating a 6-Way Round to 5-Way Flat Trailer Wiring Adapter
We do not carry a 6-way to 5-way adapter, so I recommend making one using the Hopkins Trailer Connector Adapter - 6-Pole Round to 6-Pole Square # HM47415 and removing the 6-pole square to replace with the Hopkins Endurance 5-Way Flat Trailer Connector - Vehicle End - Ergonomic Design # HM47900. You won't use the 12V feature so I recommend removing that wire from the 6-way so it doesn't draw any power. I've attached a wiring article to help with the connections.

  • How to Create an Adapter for a Vehicle's 6-Way Round to a Trailer's 5-Way Flat
We do have a way for you to connect your 6-way round and 5-way flat. We don't have a direct adapter, but a combination of two with a bit of splicing will do the trick. First, use part # HM47415 to convert your 6-way round into a 6-way square. Then, remove the 6-square from that and attach part # HM47900 to give you the 5-way flat connection point. I've linked to a help article of wiring to help you with this along with video reviews of both of the adapters. You won't be using the 12V...

In order to tow a trailer with what I assume is a 6-pole round trailer connector on your 2010 Subaru Forester with a 4-flat trailer connector all you will need is the 6-Way and 4-Way Flat part # ETBC6. This will give you everything to attach the wiring from the trailer to the tow vehicle. The 6-pole trailer connector on your trailer will allow for you to add brakes to the trailer.

  • Fit of Hopkins 6-way Square to 6-Way Adapter # HM47415 on Coleman Pop-Up Camper
Coleman used their own proprietary 6-way square connector, and from what I understand, it was only available from them. My contact at Hopkins tells me that the # HM47415 you referred to is different enough that it will not work. Since Coleman no longer manufactures campers, I am not sure where you would get an adapter. Your best bet would be to remove the existing connector on the camper and install a 6-way female connector like part # PK11604 (or whichever plug would be compatible with...

Most likely we have what you are looking for but you will need to first determine what vent you have on your trailer. Most standard vents are 14-1/4 by 14-1/4 inches wide, 14 x 14 inches wide or 13 x 14 inches wide. Next if the manufacturer name is on the vent that will help. Finally, you will need to look closely at the hinged portion of the vent. If there is a rolled metal hinge attached...

The only 6-Way square to 6-Way round wiring adapter that we offer is the Hopkins Trailer Connector Adapter # HM47415. However, this adapter only measures 10 inches long overall. These square connectors are popular on older Jayco trailers, but are not common in the industry so there are very few adapters made for this style connector. I have an option for you but we don't carry a longer version of the Hopkins 6-round to 6-square adapter, part # HM47415. Instead you can make your own. Use Hopkins part # 37995 which has both sides of the 6-square and wire the end you need to the Bargman 6-round # 50-61-104. The Bargman is 4 feet long and the Hopkins is just under 12 inches so this will be plenty long enough for you.

  • Availability of Trailer Wiring Adapters to Convert from 6-Pin Round Connector Format
I linked our main page for all trailer wiring adapters that convert from a 6-round-pin format to others. We do have a 6-round to 6-square adapter, part # HM47415, but not one that converts a 6-way round pin to a 5- or 6-flat. 6-flat is not a common format for tow vehicle and trailers in the U.S. For the long run you will be better off avoiding use of an adapter and hardwiring in the connector you need. Adapters are convenient but they also introduce more connection points and that means...
