Today were reviewing part number 54701-003 from Bargman. This is a fifth wheeler gooseneck 90 wiring harness with a 7-pole plug. It fits Chevy, GMC, Dodge, Ford, Nissan, and Toyota trucks that have a factory tow package. Ill show you that in a moment. This is the seven-way that fits on the side of your truck bed, and it fits just like that. It does come with a cover to protect it from the elements.
You have the 90 angle that will allow it to fit neatly inside the truck bed on the side, and the only part of the seven-way that you actually will see inside the truck is the plug itself. You will not see the elbow or the cord. So if you have a fifth wheel or gooseneck with a seven-way thats too short to reach the bumper, you can use this basically it serves as an extension thats permanently mounted. It does come with the self-tapping screws that you need for installation and it also comes with printed instructions. If by any chance this is too close, this part is too close to your side of your truck, you can use the included spacer like that and you see that now makes it thicker so therefore its farther away from the side of your truck, and the other end connects, of course, to the seven-way at your bumper so you always are able to use your seven-way thats at the bumper because you have these connectors also.
This is made in the United States, and it does come with a one-year limited warranty, and there you have it for part number 54701-003 from Bargman. This is the fifth wheel gooseneck 90 wiring harness with seven-pole plug.

Bought this 7 foot harness to go in to my new 2012 chevy silverado. Wasn't sure where I wanted to put the plug receptacle in the bed. Watch the video and it show the installer putting the plug end down low in the lower left corner. If you haul dirt , mulch or gravel I felt this was a bad spot so I found another. Chevy has 3 plastic plug covers in both sides of the bed for a ladder rack/tool holder attachment accessory they sell. I pulled the middle plug cover out which is oval and with my dremel tool I made the hole round to the proper size and fed the wire down the hole and over the wheel well down to the back bumper where just like the video it shows how to make the connection. Mounted in the bed in this location the 7 foot plug lead gives you plenty of room to route and secure the wires out of the way. If you crank down the spare tire its easier to run the wire and secure the wire to different points. My bed has no new holes in it. The plug is up high out of the way which works for my fifth wheel and the plug was wired correctly so all the lights/brakes work like they should. Good deal51693

Purchased this to,install in my 2007 Dodge 2500. the plugs on the end will not plug into the stock Dodge wiring harness. Dodge requires a rectangular plug and the wiring harness comes with round plugs. I had to cut the plugs off and use Skotch Bloks to attach wiring harness to Dodge.55021

The cable arrived with in a couple of days. Today I decided to install and it all went smoothly. It took about 1 hour but much time was spent with my present connector because it was bent from someone trying to drive under my bumper. I was very happy with the cable and it fit great.53575

Install was very simple in 2009 Chevy w/5.5 foot bed. Had about 14-16" of slack still with a mid-bed install. Recommend dropping the spare tire to install so you have room to tie up the slack, but you can get it in without removing the tire. 36809
