5481 Shelby Two Speed Winch with Hand Brake

To change speeds on your Shelby Two Speed Winch simply press the locking lever and shift the handle from side to side which will allow you to change gears or free spool. The handle is designed not to spin while in free spool position. All gears are heat-treated and their ratios offer easier cranking of heavy loads.

• The # 5480 and # 5481 Shelby 3,200 lbs. Two-Speed Winches utilize a cable and the manufacturer does not recommend the use of a strap with these winches. The drum width is 2-3/4 inches and the mounting pattern is the same for both winches. The main difference between the 2 winches is that the 5481 model has a hand brake that allows you to control the load when in free wheel mode. The correct replacement cable for these winches would be one like the Hand Winch Cable with Safety Hook, # DL24100.
