Today were going to review part number FT26250301. This is the Fulton high performance 2-speed trailer winch with a 2600 lb. weight capacity. This corrosion resistant winch has 2 speeds. One for quick pull-in the other for greater mechanical advantage and it has a neutral freewheeling position which will let your line go out a lot quicker. This is great for boat trailers or many marine applications.

It has 2 speeds. The fast speed will let you pull in quickly and in the lower speed will offer an increased mechanical advantage. It does have a shift lock right here which will let you change your gears without having to move the handle. You just push the shift lock and then you can shift it from the low gear up to the high gear and then push that back down to lock it in place. And it also has a--you can push this and move it to the center position right there, to where it doesnt engage any gear and this neutral freewheel position will allow the--put this into neutral than as you can see it will allow the quick line payout, that old handle will not spin.

This winch does have a Z-Max 600 zinc finish which will provide superior corrosion resistance which means it has a 600 hour salt spray rating. Now, there is an optional handbrake that can be installed on this which is sold separately. Let me give you the dimensions on this. The handle length on this will be 10 inches. The gear ratios will be 5.1:1 and 12.2:1.

Right now I have it installed in the higher gear which is the 5.1:1 and basically what that would mean is for this drum to rotate one complete revolution it would take 5.1 revolutions of the handle. Now, if you go and move this into the lower gear, slide that into the lower gear it will lock into place. Now, as you can see this gear is into the lower gear so when I turn it itll be 12.2:1. So basically to rotate this drum one revolution will take 12.2 revolutions of this handle. The total maximum mechanical advantage is 79:1.

Now, the drum storage on this is 100 hundred feet by 730 seconds of wire cable. Now, this winch can only be used with wire cable only. The hub diameter right here is 1-3/4 inches. Again, the weight capacity is 2600 lbs. It does come with a limited 5 year warranty. Basically, I just want to show you how this would operate. As I was mentioning before heres a shift lock lever right here and if you pull that you can move your gear into any position, into high gear, into low gear, or right in the middle and lock it into place and that would be the freewheel position. And then down here is the ratchet and basically that will control--lets put it into the low gear. Now, this ratchet if you lift it up youll be able to crank counter-clockwise and if you put it all the way down now it will go clockwise, the very middle the ratchet will actually be right there would be the freewheel position.
