Today we're going to review part number FT11000301. This is the Fulton Single Speed Winch with 1,100 pound weight capacity. This single speed winch has a convenient two-way ratchet system. It is made of a carbon steel construction which offers superior strength and durability for better function and increased lifespan. It does have an oil-impregnated shaft bushing and a full length drum bearing which will make for smooth and efficient operation. It has a z-max 600 finish which will provide increased corrosion resistance.
It does have a comfort grip on the handle which makes cranking very easy. Now this wench is designed for use with either rope or a strap. It is not to be used with any wire cable. The handle length on this will be 7 inches. It does have a gear ratio of 4.1:1 and basically what that would mean is to get this drum to turn one revolution you would need to crank this handle around 4.1 times.
Now this winch does have a drum storage of 30 feet by 5/16 if you're using a rope. Or it would use a 20 foot by 2 inch strap. So you can see the drum is 2 inches wide. Again, the capacity would be 1,100 pounds. It does come with a limited 3 year warranty and, just real quickly to show you how this would operate, there's a ratchet lever right here.
If you push that all the way down that would allow you to crank in a counter-clockwise position. And if you move that ratchet lever all the way up then it will turn in a clockwise motion. And if you leave the lever in the middle you can go either direction. It pretty much will allow the drum to freewheel. And that should do it for review on part number FT11000301..

This is exactly what I was looking for. The challenge with the etrailer description is that it did not include whether or not there was a brake mechanism. I had to examine the photo of this model compared to other models to determine whether it had one. Once received, it actually exceeded my expectations because the brake works in both directions, which is excellent.14127
