Today we're going to read part #FK10510301. This is the Fulton High-Performance Brake Winch. This is designed for cable use only. It has a weight capacity of 1,000 lbs. this brake winch is an automatic brake winch and it is perfect for boat lifts, inaudible, manual forklifts, twice in a many more things. This winch will securely hold the load whenever you release the handle that youre cranking.

The load will remain securely held whenever the hand is released and there is no free willing option available. And basically the way this brake winch works is there is a friction pad of brake material which is between two metal plates. And this pinning gear is on this threaded portion of this rod. So basically, as you're cranking your winch and pulling up the line and then you release it, it'll automatically stay in place because as you back of the handle, what it will do is release and this threaded portion, as you can see right there, will tighten up against this pinning gear which will force those two plates together. And squeeze that friction plate which will apply the brake.

Now, there does have to be a load on this for it to operate but basically when you're cranking and you release it and then just back it off a little bit, it will tighten this pinning gear up against the brake pad and then as you release it and pull on the line, it won't go anywhere, it's in the brake position, the brake is applied. And then just to release it is when you crank it in the normal--when you crank it in the normal position, it will just raise that line again. The finish on this winch is a Zmax 600 zinc finish which provides corrosion resistance. The Zmax 600 basically means it is tested for 600 hours of salt spray. This part is made in the USA.

It does include this handle. The handle length is 11 inches. The hub drub diameter which is this part here where the cable were wind up, layer up against has a diameter of 2 1/4 inches. This will use a maximum cable diameter of seven 30 seconds of an inch. And the drum will hold 50 feet of cable.

The gear ratio on this winch is 4.1 to 1 and basically what that means is to make one revolution of the drum, you will need to turn the handle on the winch 4.1 revolutions. This part does come with a limited five year warranty and it is made in the USA. That should do it for part #FK10510301.
