Today we're going to review part number DL14125. This is the Dutton Lainson hand winch. This is a single speed winch, has a 600-pound winch capacity for horizontal pulling applications. The hub diameter size which is this part right here is a 52 7/8-inch drum diameter, it does use the high carbon steel gears and has the permanent lubricated bearings. This winch does have a zinc Top Plate finish which is a yellow chromate Top Plate finish which has three times the corrosion resistance of your standard chrome-plated finish. The handle is included and the handle would slide right onto here and then it has a lock nut that is put on over there and then tightened down and basically it is ratchet crank so it does have a full 360 degree rotation.
There is ratchet pole which is this part right here that when you release it it will allow the winch to completely free wheel in both directions. Then when you will engage that ratchet pole it will allow you to crank the winch. The gear ratio on this winch is 3.2:1 which basically means to rotate this drum one revolution it will take the handle to go around 3.2 times. This winch does come with a five-year limited warranty, it is made in the USA and this winch can use a cable of size 530 seconds and it can also use a nylon strap. That should do it for part number DL14125..

I replaced a 20 year old winch on my trailer with this product. Although I had to drill a new hole to mount, the operation of the winch is flawless. I also odered a winch strap to replace the rope on my old winch. One problem, the strap needed to be mounted to the winch with a screw, that was not provided. It would have made things easier if the screw had been included!7989
