  • Works independently - side-to-side
    • Helps compensate for off-center loads
    • Reduces body roll when swerving and turning corners
  • Acts as shock absorbers, taking the brunt of bumps and rough roads
    • Extends the life of your Toyota Land Cruiser's suspension

Although image shows effects of sag on a rear axle under a heavy load, similar improvements will be made when the Timbren SES is installed on the front end.

Just as when a truck bed is loaded, the front of the Toyota Land Cruiser will sag when under the burden of heavy equipment such as a snow plow. In this case, the front axle is handling not only the weight of the equipment, but more of the Toyota Land Cruiser's weight as well. Overall Toyota Land Cruiser handling - traction, steering, and braking - is negatively affected. The resistance from Timbren's Suspension Enhancement System works with the Toyota Land Cruiser's factory suspension to keep the Toyota Land Cruiser level and improve your driving performance.

Install diagrams of Timbren hollow rubber springs

The Timbren system has a Toyota Land Cruiser-specific bracket that will be bolted onto each frame rail above the front axle. Hollow rubber springs are bolted to the bottom of the bracket, hanging down so that the bottom of the spring is touches the axle. Because the spring is already making contact, it is working at once to cushion and support the Toyota Land Cruiser's existing suspension.

Animation of a standard Timbren rubber spring

Timbren Suspension Enhancement Systems are designed to work progressively. When the hollow rubber springs are compressed, the convoluted design causes them to quickly collapse along the folds. Once the folds are compacted, the stacked barrel shape provides increased resistance, stiffening the suspension and keeping the Toyota Land Cruiser level.

Timbren suspension system works to prevent body roll

Each hollow rubber spring works independently to support the driver's or passenger's side of the Toyota Land Cruiser. This is helpful when you swerve or make sharp turns. Each spring is activated when it is needed, so body roll is greatly reduced. The independent action also works well when hauling off-center loads.

A snowplow mounted to the front of the truck will require extra suspension support for the front axle.

Timbren's Suspension Enhancement System will raise the front of the end of the Toyota Land Cruiser when heavy equipment, such as a plow, is attached. Headlight beams will be pointed in the right direction and tire wear will be reduced. If the plow is off center or has an extension, the hollow rubber springs will automatically compensate for this as well.

An empty truck on a bumpy road without Timbren

Another great feature of the rubber construction is that the springs absorb most of the road shock, creating a smoother, more stable ride overall. Wear and tear on the factory suspension is also lessened as the rubber springs work to prevent bottoming out on rough roads.

Compared to the competition:

Timbren's suspension enhancement systems are much easier to install than air springs - no air hoses are needed to be run, no compressors or gauges to hook up, and no manual adjustments necessary. The rubber construction causes Timbren's springs to be more elastic than similar products constructed of micro-cellular urethane. More elasticity allows for a more comfortable ride because the rubber has more travel.

  • Will Timbren Suspension Enhancement Reduce Wear on Shocks on a 2001 Toyota Tundra
  • Timbren systems are designed to absorb road shock which does increase the life of the factory suspension. You will want to first make sure that the suspension is in good working order before installing and using the Front Suspension system, # TTOFTUN4. You can see in the instructions I have linked for you how the system will be effective in taking up the shock based on its position. The Timbren system has a limited lifetime warranty so I would not worry about the longevity of the product. An
