Features:
Specs:

When hauling heavy loads in the cargo area or by pulling a trailer, you will often see the rear of the GMC Sierra sag while the front end rises. In these cases, the rear axle is handling not only the weight of the cargo, but more of the GMC Sierra's weight as well. Because less weight is on the front axle, the front tires are making less contact with the road. Overall GMC Sierra handling - traction, steering, and braking - is negatively affected. The resistance from Timbren's Suspension Enhancement System works with the GMC Sierra's factory suspension to keep the GMC Sierra level and improve your driving performance.

The Timbren system has a GMC Sierra-specific bracket that will be bolted onto each frame rail above the rear axle. Hollow rubber springs are bolted to the bottom of the bracket and hang down to where the bottom of the spring sits one inch above the axle. The inch of clearance allows the existing factory suspension to operate normally under light loads and standard terrain, ensuring the smooth, comfortable ride you are used to.

Timbren Suspension Enhancement Systems are designed to work progressively. When the hollow rubber springs are compressed, the convoluted design causes them to quickly collapse along the folds. Once the folds are compacted, the stacked barrel shape provides increased resistance, stiffening the suspension and keeping the GMC Sierra level.

Each hollow rubber spring works independently to support the driver's or passenger's side of the GMC Sierra. This is helpful when you swerve or make sharp turns. Each spring is activated when it is needed, so body roll is greatly reduced. The independent action also works well when hauling off-center loads.

Because the GMC Sierra handles better with the springs, less turbulence will be passed along to the trailer helping to keep the trailer in line. Your driving comfort is further enhanced if the trailer does begin to sway (from a gust of wind or passing of a semi) because the movement from the trailer is not transferred to the GMC Sierra. This also works to make the sway subside quicker.

Another great feature of the rubber construction is that the springs absorb most of the road shock, creating a smoother, more stable ride overall. Wear and tear on the factory suspension is also lessened as the rubber springs work to prevent bottoming out on rough roads.
Compared to the competition:
Timbren's suspension enhancement systems are much easier to install than air springs - no air hoses are needed to be run, no compressors or gauges to hook up, and no manual adjustments necessary. The rubber construction causes Timbren's springs to be more elastic than similar products constructed of micro-cellular urethane. More elasticity allows for a more comfortable ride because the rubber has more travel.

Today we are working on 2011 Chevrolet Silverado. We are going to install the Timbren suspension system, part number TGMRCK15S. Our first step is to raise the suspension above the vehicle. Now that we have already done that, we are ready to go ahead and remove the manufacturer's bump stop. To do this, you'll need to remove the fastener that's located at the center of the bump stop. With the fastener removed, we can go ahead pop the bump stop out of the cup holder.
Now we are ready to install the new Timbren bump stop. The Timbren bump stop has a washer that's already made inside of the bump stop. We'll take our bolt and feed it down through the washer and up to the top of the bump stop. Then on top of the bump stop, we'll insert the plate washer then we can thread it in right back in where the manufacturer's previous bump stop was. Alright, once we get our bolt started into the threads, we will go ahead and tighten it down. That completes the install of our new bump stop on the driver side. We will go ahead and repeat the process on the passenger's side.
With both sides installed, that completes the install of our timbrane suspension system, part number tgmrck15s on our 2011 Chevy Silverado.

Product received timely from etrailer. Install is a snap by simply jacking up truck at frame one side at a time. This gives you enough room to install without crawling under truck or removing wheel. You will need a 6" socket extension for the Timbren install. Small extension is to short and 10" is to long. These are definitely beefy rubber springs. Have not towed with them yet but would expect them to work as advertised.72929

Second truck I've used these on. Installs easily and quickly. Transforms ride and handling of truck under heavy load. Truck rides nearly level with maximum capacity in bed. 62959

Tough to decide, Timbrens or air suspension. I opted for Timbens in part because of price, but also no maintenance, while knowing there might be a trade-off in fine tuning the ride. I installed the Timbrens on an '09 Silverado C1500 crewcab, pulling a '13 Springdale 247FWRLLS. Last measured pin weight was 1,120 lbs. Install time was 14 minutes, clock started after purchasing and cutting a piece of 4x4 to help jack up the frame, allowing access to the space. Before Timbrens, 2" drop in bed height after hitching 5th wheel. After Timbren install, 1" drop. Ride unhitched is mostly unchanged, the bigger bumps transmit a more firm feel as the Timbrens connect though. When hitched to the 5th wheel, overall smoother, more confident ride. I'm happy with the purchase. Thank you eTrailers.com for the fast and dependable service you are known for! Tom Round Rock, TX54799

Etrailer expedited the package early due to returning customer. Parts delivered in double packaged boxes. Installed in 1/2 hour after fighting the old rusty bolts. Have not had a chance to load test yet. Will give another follow-up review after truck and trailer are loaded.78488

Ordered by telephone around 10:30 AM, product was delivered via UPS around 1:30 PM the next day. I had them installed that evening after getting home. I hooked up my travel trailer to my truck, everything leveled out, no sag. Can't wait to see how they do on the road pulling my trailer. 65385

We have the SES on two other trucks and are extremely happy with them - therefore we have just received the third set for a new truck. Customer service is unbelievably good - a rare experience these days. Thank you, Timbren!65350

They were easy to install on my 2008 crewcab silverado 1500 4x4. I sometimes pull a tractor & trailer GTW about 5400 lbs. With the timbrens the truck handles the weight very well. I wish I had put these on when I got the truck. etrailer.com sent them to my door very quick, thanks.55873

I ordered these on July 4th (Wed) and received them on Friday. As always I got very fast shipping from etrailer.com. I installed these today on my 2009 Sierra 1500. I pull a 20ft enclosed trailer all around the mid-west and up and down the East cost. I've continually been adding things to the trailer so lately the rear of the truck has started to sag a bit when towing. This product seemed like a reasonable way to help remove the sag. I measured the truck in a couple of places near the back with the trailer hooked up prior to installation. After installation the sag was reduced by an inch to inch and a half which is what I was looking for. The truck is now very level with trailer attached. Installation was very easy as the mounting point is easy to get to. I did one side at a time by jacking up that side and removing the tire/wheel. I probably could have done it without removing the wheel, but this just made it that much easier. Remove one 10mm bolt on the original bump stop and then bolt on the new part. Tighten and you're done (well, I had to put the wheel back on, etc.) I did the whole thing in about 40 minutes. I haven't pulled the trailer yet with these installed, but I've already gotten the primary result out of the purchase which is to remove the sag in the truck when the trailer is attached.47122

I put Timbrens in a 2012 Silverado 1500 Z71. I tow a 8000lbs camper, without the Timbrens the rear saged pretty low. After intalling them, which took about 20mins, my truck now rides nice and level. Great product if you don't want to mess with actual suspention upgrades. 37255

These are the best add on suspension helpers I have ever had on a pick up. I put 2 yards of compost in the back of my 1/2 ton Silverado W/T long bed and it rode level back to the house. These control sag when you drop on a trailer loaded or not.35070

This is my third truck I have installed these springs on. Without them a truck just isn't a truck. Shipping was great and faster than expected.27941
