Get the cushioning power of SumoSprings for your coil springs and keep your ride comfortable. The wedge-shaped springs fit between the individual coils of your existing springs and help support heavy loads on your rear suspension.
Features:
Specs:
Insert these helper springs in between the individual coil loops in your rear coil springs to defeat driver fatigue and add better support for heavy loads. Most factory coil suspensions have a difficult time hauling added weight. The rear coils may struggle with supporting the extra load placed on your rear axle when you're towing a trailer or using a hitch-mounted cargo carrier or bike rack. If your coil springs are totally squished under a load, the lack of shock absorption can be harsh on your backside, especially if you spend long hours sitting in your Chevrolet Suburban while driving to your campsite.

Inside each helper spring, a core of microcellular polyurethane foam adds cushioning between your coils to make your ride more comfortable. Each doughnut-shaped spring has H-shaped channels at the top and bottom that fit to the rung of an individual coil in your rear coil springs. Included zip-ties also aid in securing the helper springs to your coil springs. The cushioning absorbs shock, but also works progressively to better support weight, keeping your truck level.
Unlike air springs that fit inside your coil springs, these polyurethane springs require no air pressure monitoring, and they are easier to install. Say goodbye to air lines, valves and air tanks and hello to maintenance-free suspension support. Unbumpify your ride with Coil SumoSprings for coil suspensions.

Today on our 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee we will be installing the Coil Sumo Spring, part number CSS-1145. This will be set up on our rear axle of our vehicle. First, weve already gone ahead, jacked up the vehicle to allow the weight off of the rear suspension and removed the right rear tire. Now were ready to go ahead and begin installation. Our first step on installation would be to clean the coil spring. Using some soapy water and a clean cloth, we will go ahead and clean the coils of the spring where we will be installing our coil sumo springs.
Were ready to go ahead and install the new Coil Sumo springs. One side will have a shallow groove while the other side has a deeper groove. The deeper groove will go to the bottom. Were ready to go ahead and start installing. First we will go ahead and spray some soapy water on both the Coil Sumo springs and the coil spring of the vehicle.
This will allow for lubrication between the two. We will begin by setting the deep groove into the coil and then working the upper groove in between the coils. As we do so, we will fold the inner lip in to allow the coil in between the grooves. Note, to assist in rotating the Coil Sumo spring, you can take a Phillips screw driver and feed it in through the predrilled hole to use as leverage. Now with our Coil Sumo spring in place were going to go ahead and secure it with the black zip ties provided with our install kit.
We will feed the zip tie through the pre-drilled holes, three total, wrap it around the top of the coil and then secure it. Next we will go ahead and take a pair of side cutters and cut off any excess from our zip tie. Now with our Coil SumoSpring installed and secure, this will complete the installation of on the passengers side. We will go ahead and repeat the same process on the drivers side. Now with both sides done, this will complete the installation of our Coil SumoSprings, part number CSS-1145 on our 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee..
