Today we'll be reviewing the spare tire cargo carrier from Surco, part numberSPSJ4319. We're going to cover some of the features of this unique spare tire-mountedcargo carrier that makes it easy to transport your gear. This universal designworks with Jeep Wranglers, or any vehicle that has a spare tire mount with a standardbolt pattern. It has a heavy duty mounting plate that bolts onto your vehicles sparetire mount, and a spare tire can be repositioned over the plate. The receiver tubeextends from the mounting plate for carrier installation, and the carrier will slide ontoand off the tube quickly and easily. The included bolt secures the carrier to themounting plate.
This is constructed from a lightweight aluminum construction, with3/4" thick square tubing. It has a durable black powder-coat finish to help resistcorrosion. This is made in the USA. Next we'll give you the measurements that are on the inside of the basket. Themeasurement from front to rear will be 16-7/8", and width will be 41-3/8", and theheight will be 4-1/2".
Your overall length, when it's attached to a vehicle, is goingto be 24-1/4". Right now Ill go ahead and load up a cooler, to give you an idea of whatthe carrier looks like with a load. At this point we can go ahead and show you howyou can use a tie down to attach to your side rails. You have a variety of attachmentpoints along the rail for whatever you carry in the back. One place you do not want toattach to is the floor of the carrier.
