This filter offers ultimate protection for diesel fuel systems without sacrificing flow. Its fabric, made of synthetic composite media, catches even the smallest dirt and rust particles. A wire coating surrounds the media for additional safeguarding against expansion and separation. These materials give the filter an unmatched 99-percent filtration efficiency rate. To facilitate flow, a perforated tube runs through the center of the media. An anti-backpressure valve reduces damage during cold starts when fuel is thick, and a Nitrile rubber gasket prevents leaking.
The heavy-duty materials of this filter withstand the harsh environment of diesel fuel systems. Its outer canister braces against the high pressure with 600 pounds of burst strength, and a thick coil spring protects the internal elements from the rush of fuel. Finally, a 1/10" base plate supports the filter. Another benefit of this filter is improved engine performance.
