- How do the Carr Super Hoop Steps Mount to a 2012 Chevy Silverado 2500HD
- Those other stores are not entirely correct. You will need to drill into the metal of the truck and the steps are held on with nuts and bolts. I have linked the instructions for you to view. page 3, step 12 states to use the 5/16 x 1-3/4 hex bolts and nuts in the drilled holds to mount the brackets to the truck. There are sheet metal screws used in the installation, not self-tapping because drilling is required, but they are not the primary fastener used to hold the steps on the truck.
