- The Carr Custom-Fit Side Steps, part # CARR121241, will fit your 2011 Jeep Rubicon. Installation requires a drill, a center punch, 5/16 inch and 1/8 inch drill bits, a pair of both 1/2 inch and 7/16 inch wrenches, a Phillips screwdriver and a pencil.
The assembly process consists of first attaching the mounting brackets to the cast aluminum steps using the supplied hardware (please note that not all hardware supplied will necessarily be needed for any given installation).

- Installing Carr Super Hoop Side Step # CARR121241 on 2009 Jeep Rubicon
- The mounting brackets for the Carr Super Hoop Side Steps would mount directly behind the pinch weld or downward pointing lip that runs along side the underside of the vehicle below the doors. For each step, two holes would be drilled through the pinch weld, and two smaller holes drilled into the underside of the vehicle for the sheet metal screws. Carr recommends centering the step on the front edge of the drivers seat.

- I spoke with my contact at Carr and she told me that the Carr Custom-Fit Super Hoop Side Steps, # CARR121241, will fit on your 2012 Jeep Rubicon with the Rock Rails, but the Rock Rails will have to be removed to install the Super Hoop side steps. Once you have the Super Hoops installed, the Rock Rails can be re-installed in their original location.
