- As a general rule, a trunk mount bike rack cannot be used on a vehicle that has a spoiler. This is because if any part of the rack touches the spoiler, the rack cannot be safely mounted because the spoiler cannot handle the added stress.
The only way to know for sure is to test the rack on the vehicle. We have not yet had a 2011 Lancer with a spoiler in to do any testing so I cannot say for sure if this rack or any other would clear the spoiler on the vehicle.
