The Thule Raceway Platform two-bike carrier gives you the convenience of a wheel-mount-style carrier even if you don't have a trailer hitch. The tray-mount design allows for bike loading and unloading at a lower, more manageable height, and the telescoping base adjusts to carry a variety of bikes, including children's. Adjustable bike-frame clamps grab each bike at the top tube or seat post, keeping your bicycles separated and secure. The clamps also lock to secure your bikes to the carrier.
The Raceway uses Thule's patented FitDial system to ensure a snug fit on your Kia Sorento and to make installation a snap. The included instructions indicate which FitDial number is right for your Kia Sorento; simply lift the lever and adjust the arm until the arrow lines up with the right number.
Sure-Tight ratcheting cables are extremely sturdy and provide outstanding security for your bicycles. They require only four attachment points for safe use, unlike standard straps, which require six attachment points. Having fewer straps makes it easier for you to put the rack on and take it off as needed. The installation instructions indicate the best attachment points for your Kia Sorento. Hook the cables around the trunk panel, then tighten them by turning one of the oversize ratcheting knobs. The locking knob keeps the cables in place and deters would-be thieves when your trunk is closed.
The locking clamps and locking knob both use Thule's One Key System lock cylinders, so they lock with the same key. These cylinders can also be changed out to make all your Thule products keyed alike.
The bike rack folds up for storage or for those times when you're not carrying bikes but don't want to remove the carrier.
Video Transcript for Thule Raceway Platform Trunk Bike Rack Review - 2013 Kia Sorento
Today on our 2013 Kia Sorento, well be test fitting the Thule Raceway Platform-Style Trunk Mount 2 Bike Carrier, part number TH9003. Before I begin our test fit, well first need to check Thule fit guide or the included instructions to determine what number the fit dial needs to be at. For this vehicle the fit dial will need to be at ten. Once we have the bike rack fit dial at ten, well not set the bike carrier onto the vehicle and latch the top two hooks onto the top of the cargo door and the bottom hooks on the bottom of the cargo door. You may need to open your cargo door in order to get the hooks underneath without damaging your bumper. We will then tighten the straps down and secure it to the vehicle by turning the dials located to the left and right side of the bike carrier. Once we get it tightened down and secured to the vehicle were ready to load our bike.
Well lower the platform and loosen up the wheel trays and undo the try straps. Well set the bike onto the wheel trays, adjust the frame hook tightly against the frame, well then lock in the wheel trays in place and secure it with the cradle straps. That completes todays test fit for the Thule Raceway Platform-Style 2 Bike Carrier Trunk Mount, part number TH9003 on our 2013 Kia Sorento. .
This carrier is heavy, so you won't be using it casually, and the instruction sheet for setting it up for my car ( the entire make) was missing.
Thule customer service resolved the second problem, with apologies.
Other than that, the everything is positive. The carrier is sturdy, extremely well built and engineered, and unlike other trunk carriers, keeps the bike well away from the car.
No marks at all from the contact points on my new black clear coated car. Set up was simple, once you gut the weight balanced.. Very satisfied 79469
Again too heavy. Damaged Jetta Sedan (mk5 2010) with two bikes installed by leaving two dents in the bumper. Even when only one is mounted a small dent is left. Based on the installation the dent may not get worse but still the damage has now been done.19022
It's just way too heavy. It damaged my bumper and trunk lid. I think the weight of bikes and the rack together is way too much for a passenger car to handle. The pulling force on the upper straps are strong enough to lift my 2011 Infiniti G37 sedan's trunk lid by 1/2 inch even before driving around. Just imagine what will happen when driving on bumpy roads. I just took it off and returned it and paid a huge return shipping fee including the original shipping fee.
This rack is WAY TOO HEAVY. Or at least it should say it DOES NOT FIT my G37.18055
Bought this rack to carry my brand new Tarmack home. Love it! Fits my prius perfect and now I don't have to spend the extra money on a roof system or a hitch.
Highly recommend this rack!19575
I had the same problem with my 2010 Toyota Camry. This rack fit well and seemed like a great idea. The first time I used this rack, the weight of the rack and mountain bike caused my trunk to open going over speed bumps creating two large dents in my bumper. I would not recommend this rack.19617
I installed this rack, per the instructions, on my girlfriends 2010 Camry. She transported her bike three hours away for the weekend. When she returned I took off the rack and was horrified to see two large dents on the top of her rear bumper (where the rack supports rest)!! Rack is too heavy and it WILL dent the bumper! If you have car from pre 1980 with steel bumper, this rack might work. The rack itself works well, but can't get past the two huge dents in an "almost" new car.19605
We do have a solution to transport 2 bicycles on your 2011 GMC Terrain but the item you selected, Thule Raceway Platform-Style 2 Bike Carrier, part # TH9003, will not fit your vehicle. Both Thule and Yakima do not have a trunk mounted bike rack that will fit the GMC Terrain. To carry 2 bikes, you will either have to install a trailer hitch to use a hitch mounted bike rack, or install a roof rack and use a roof mounted bike rack.

The Thule Raceway Platform-Style 2 Bike Carrier, item # TH9003, is recommended for your vehicle by the manufacturer, but my contact there said that they were not able to test vehicles with the satellite radio antenna, that you mentioned, on the trunk of the vehicle.
You may experience issues with any of the truck mount racks that we carry, because of the antenna.

Yes, according to the Thule fit guide, the Thule Raceway Platform-Style 2 Bike Carrier, item # TH9003, will fit on your 2005 Toyota Camry, XLE. The only thing that could interfere with installation would be a rear mounted spoiler on the trunk, in this case the rack will not work.

I do have a solution for a trunk mounted bike rack for your 2000 BMW 323i sport wagon, but the item you selected, Thule Raceway Platform 2 Bike Carrier, part # TH9003, will not work on your vehicle. The reason it wont work is because of the weight.
For a similar trunk bike rack, checkout the Thule Raceway 2 Bike Carrier, part # TH9001. The other trunk mount bike racks from Thule that will fit your vehicle include the Thule Archway # TH9009XT, the Thule Gateway # TH9006XT, and the Thule Passag view full answer...
I spoke with my contact at Thule about the Raceway Platform Trunk Mount Bike Rack, # TH9003. First, the arms that grip the bikes not only move up and down, but the grip at the end can also rotate to hold the bike at the seat post, or at an angled frame like on a traditional womens bike.
The max wheelbase for bike to fit is 48 inches. And my contact stated that it will fit most childrens bikes that are 20 inches, but no less. I have included a link to a video review of this bike rack for you t view full answer...
I contacted our representative at Thule and she informed me that the Thule Raceway Platform 2 Bike Carrier, part # TH9003, will fit the standard model 2008 Volvo S40. She could not confirm that # TH9003 would fit the T5 model.
I did some research on the internet and found that the T5 is the AWD Turbo model. Also, that the T5 can come equipped with a rear spoiler and added fascia. If your Volvo S40 T5 is equipped with a spoiler, the Thule Raceway may not fit.
Since the T5 comes with added b view full answer...

There is a way to determine if this or any rack will potentially damage a vehicle.
What I recommend doing is checking to see what the weight capacity is of the rear bumper on your 2011 Subaru Outback. This information may not be in the owners manual, so you will have to speak with the dealer or, better yet, a tech at Subaru. If the combined weight of the bikes plus the 45 pounds of the bike rack exceeds what that rear fascia is designed for, you know the Raceway Platform Rack, # TH9003, pro view full answer...

I checked the Thule fit guide an they do recommend the Thule Raceway, # TH9003, for your 2002 Subaru Forester. I recently had a chance to install the Raceway on a vehicle and I really liked the adjustability of the rack. There is no need for an adapter bar for bikes with no horizontal cross tube and the wheel trays can be adjusted so that just about any two styles of bikes can be carried. The Thule Platform Raceway Trunk Mount Bike Rack, # TH9003, and a host of other trunk mount bike racks will fit the 2007 Nissan Sentra. But, there are no trunk mount bike racks that will fit the 2008 Honda Odyssey because there are not enough safe attachment points on the van for a trunk mount bike rack.
Sine you are looking for something that will fit both vehicles, the best option is going to be to equip trailer hitches on both vehicles and use a hitch mount bike rack.

I checked with Thule and the reason Thule Raceway Platform Bike Rack # TH9003 is not confirmed to fit the 2008 Acura MDX is because there is no safe place to attach the top straps of the rack.

The Thule Raceway platform rack, # TH9003, is listed as a fit for a 2005 Volvo S60. This rack is heavy, about 45 pounds, and when loaded to its 70 pound capacity, that would be about 115 pounds on the bumper of a vehicle. While it will technically fit, it is more suited for a vehicle that has a metal mounting surface for the bottom legs because this much weight can dent thinner composite materials.
For a 2 bike rack I recommend going with the Raceway, # TH9001. This rack still holds 2 bikes, view full answer...

The Thule Raceway Platform-Style Bike Rack, # TH9003, will fit on your 2010 Volvo XC60, however, it is a heavy rack, about 115 lbs fully loaded, and can potentially damage your bumper if the bike rack is installed too tightly with a heavy load.
