Kinda stressful putting it up the first time. The next time should be a lot easier. By the time vacation is over we will be professional tent assembly people!!! Love it and can't wait to use it. Very goid quality materials.

Worked great

Great product that fit my needs for camping in FL. rain and humidity were no problem. Good ventilation even with rain fly, and off the ground with queen sized air bed inside, fit great, no floor is easy set-up, once I got the hang of it, lol.
10 min set-up, 5 min tear down and pack up. Love it.

I use camping gear pretty hard and this bed tent has survived a year of my hard use, spring and fall, thanks so much.

Plenty of room inside, never feel claustrophobic, off the ground away from the crawlies and critters, yay.

Would buy again.

1993 Ford F-150

I bought the Rightline Truck Bed Tent for my son for his birthday. He has his father's 1993 Ford F150 and the tent fit perfectly. The first time he set it up it took about 45 minutes but only took about 20 minutes the second time. He loves it! He slept in it with the truck parked in the driveway the first night he got it. I was a little worried that it didn't have a floor but the sides fit snugly around and over the sides of the truck bed so there shouldn't be an issue if it rains, and it makes it much easier to set the tent up quickly if it is raining--no emptying the truck first. The interior is roomy enough that he can use a cot for sleeping and it's tall enough that he can sit upright in a folding chair inside the tent. Overall, we're very happy with the tent. As usual with etrailer, the shipping was quick and price was reasonable. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking at truck bed tents.

I just received my westin tailgate ladder and rightline bed tent. Great packaging, no damage to items. We still have snow on the ground so probably will not be able to check out the tent for a week or so. The ladder looks and feels great. Well made, good bracing on steps and looks like a very easy install---thanks e-trailer

Looking forward to my next outing! Short of discovering a slit loop for one of the support bows in my initial use, I was extremely pleased.
Following my discovery, I contacted etrailer and the manufacture where I was able to return for repair at no charge to me. Will see how this years outing goes Am positive all will be fine.

The tent seamed just like the pictures the only issue i see is the corners up next to the pickup cab i think should be sewed better the one i have seams to not been sewed that well other tan that its what i expected minus the sewing or stich issue i will be repairing it due to no time to send back planing on putting it to use right away i may possibly sending it back after one use to have it stich ed up better

The first time I set this up it didn't look and feel right but every time after that fit like a glove. First setup was rushed because it was about to rain. The tail gate section had too much tension to where it compressed the entrance and made it difficult to use the zipper. I went off the instructions on the box and they’re vague compared to the instructions sewn into the bag. The main thing they stress in the instructions is keeping the seam lined up with the edge of your bed and the inner flap inside your bed. Once you properly line that up make sure the orange straps go over the tail light inside the bed and through the slit between your tailgate and bed. These straps are critical in placement as they pull the seams towards the inside of your bed. Last key point is the two black straps at the end of the bed. One will pull the tent straight down onto your fender and the other one will be at an angle pulling the corner flap towards the front of the truck(I secured it to leaf spring). Just like in the instructions they will cross over into an “A” shape. Before tightening all the straps open the tent and remove any slack from the interior flap that hangs over the bed rail. If you’ve done it correctly the two pockets will hang down inside your bed and not outside. I setup the tent by myself and did not have to force the poles like before. Also I have a bed cover that rolls up and had no issues leaving it in there. Follow the instructions to the T and I guarantee you will be pleased with the results!

Took about 30 minutes after I read the directions. Looks great. I am ready to give it a go!

by:

Excellent instructions, relatively easy install. Great fit.

by:

Y’all... seriously. I cannot wait to actually test this sucker out! 20 min to put up! Easy peasy! And goes back in the bag easy! (2017 Tacoma 5’ bed) fits like a glove. Have to really man-handle the last orange rod in but I got it perfectly.

by:

1st time erecting the Rightline Truck Tent took me about 45 minutes, mainly because I had difficulty getting the orange-marked tent poles into their pockets, and didn’t want to force things. I read all of the materials again and made sure that I have the right size tent for my 2008 Tacoma Access Cab pickup with a 6 ft box.
Then I pulled it all down and thought about it for a day.
I’m not sure that I had the inner flap seam even with the top of the bed rail (mentioned several times in the instructions), so I started again from scratch. Much easier the 2nd time, more like 15-20 minutes, and I was able to make one improvement with the orange straps referenced in Fig 9, 10, 11, and 12. My truck has a metal hold-down loop in each corner of the bed, so I could go straight to Fig 13, and 14, attach the straps directly to the inside rear corners of the bed, left and right, and end up with something that looks very much like Fig 14. See attached photo “orange strap”.
Both the 1st and 2nd time were in my 2-car garage, with a new 2014 Camry in the other bay, and very little room to walk around. Plus I was dead scared of spearing the Camry with the overhanging tent poles. The 3rd time will be in the open and I’m shooting for 5-10 minutes. I also have a Truck-bedz air mattress which I have tested (unpack, inflate, 2 days and nights without air loss, deflate, fold and re-pack).
The big thing that I learned (finally) is to “have the inner flap seam even with the top of the bed rail”. In my case I had a section of the inner flap caught under a corner of the narrow plastic molding that protects the top of the truck bed. Check this, and once you get it right there is peace in the land - the tent fits squarely onto the bed, the tent poles fit snugly into the pockets, and the long zippers around the no-see-um mesh rear door run smoothly.

We have a Nissan Frontier pro4X with a five foot bed. We can’t zip up the tent or at least it is VERY difficult. Maybe this tent is not compatible with our truck? Either way I was excited about the concept of the text but we can’t use it because zipping it is too difficult.

Here's my 2017 Toyota Tacoma truck with your tent! Thanks!
