Today were going to review part number R104BTREZ. This is the Redline EZ Round Spindle. This spindle is an EZ design spindle and basically what that means is it will have a grease zerk fitting on the end of the axle and that will allow you to put a grease gun on there and pump grease in through the internal cavity of the spindle and it will come out this hole right here which is located on the inner bearing surface. Well actually grease your bearings just by pumping grease from the outside as compared to a normal traditional spindle which would not have the zerk fitting and you would have to remove the bearings and have to grease them manually and put them back on. This way you can just grease them while theyre on the trailer. Now this spindle does use a bearing kit which is part number BK1-150, which is sold separately.
That bearing kit will include the inner/outer bearings and their races, the grease seal and everything needed to install onto your spindle. On this spindle there are a few critical measurements that need to be taken and I do a have digital caliper here since the measurements will in /100s of an inch to get a correct measurement. The first measurement is the length of the mounting. This will be mounted onto your axle so the length of the mounting dimension would be 4 inches. Then were going to do the diameter of that mounting dimension and that would be 1.250.
Next measurement would be this part right here and this is the grease seal dimension. On this spindle will be 1.50. The next dimension is this part right here which is the inner seal bearing surface and on that would be 1.06. Next dimension would be out here which is the outer bearing surface and that would be also 1.06. The last measurement would be the diameter of the threaded portion of the spindle which is this part right here and that would be 1 inch even.
Again, this spindle does come with the castle nut, the tang washer, which is a type used for EZ Lube spindles and the D-design washer. That should do it for part number R104BTREZ. .
