Today we are going to review part number STL23RB. This is the Optronics mirror flex LED trailer stop, turn and taillight. This has 12 diodes and is a four inch round red light. It will serve three functions on trailers that are less than 80 inches wide. The stop, turn and trail light. This is a great replacement for incandescent light because theres no bulbs to replace or no brills filaments.
This is a sealed waterproof and lens. It is corrosion resistant. It does have red LEDs and the lens is red also. This will flash mount with a granite which is sold separately and it will also will connect with an industry standard three-prong plug which is sold separately and a quick diameter on this is the overall diameter. From side to side will be 4-5/16, actual size of the light will be four inches.
The depth of this will be 1-1/2 inches and then the depth including the part where the connector goes in will be 2-3/8 inch. This does use mirror flex technology, which will increase the light output, by using 90% less energy that incandescent bulbs. This LED light will draw 0.181 amps at 12.8 volts when the stop and turn is on and it will draw 0.023 amps at 12.8 volts when you use the taillights on. It is DOT approved and there is a lifetime warranty on the LEDs and what Im going to do now is we are going to hook it up and give you an idea of the brightness. I plug in a three-prong adaptor and I have a power supply here.
Well hook up the white to the ground, and the black to the taillight. Itll give you an idea of the taillight with the lights on. Then well hook up the stop and turn. Let me get that connection there. That will be the stop and turn and now Im going to turn off the overhead lights to give you an idea.
That will be the taillight function in the dark and that would be the stop and turn function and that should do it for part number STL23RB.

I installed these lights in a T@B teardrop camping trailer. The grommet would not work on this style trailer so I installed the lights using a silicone adhesive the same as the original Peterson lights. eTrailer delivered them in the same timely manner I have come to expect from them and the LEDs were easy to install. These lights are blindingly bright - simply amazing. I had rear lights with 1157 bulbs which I had upgraded to 2357 bulbs and equipped the tow vehicle with a powered converter but the light output was dim by today's standards. These lights are twice as bright on running lights and about 4 times brighter on the brake/turn signal elements. The thing we all fear when towing is being hit from behind by a driver that does not see our running, brake or turn signal lights in time. I know these lights will vastly improve the safety and visibility of our trailer. Thanks! 67735

I used these to replace the peterson taillights on my 1979 GMC dump truck. They were a direct replacement and fit perfectly. Was able to use the existing wiring and rubber boot for the direct install. Too easy! I've had comments from the people at the quarry and on the job that the visibility of my taillights was surprisingly bright even when they get a film of dirt on them. I had problems with the peterson lights burning out and so far, 3 months, these are still working perfectly.60650

These are some really bright lights. They have a very nice prism look to them, much different than most led lights you'll see on the road. Very happy with them. No grommets were included. 15269
