Today we are going to show you Optronics Sealed 6-1/2 Inch LED Clear Oval Utility Trailer Light part number BUL72CB. Inside the light are 10 diodes that are covered by a limited lifetime warranty. The light housing is sealed and waterproof. It utilizes an industry standard 2 prong plug to make the electrical connections. The plug will snap in at the back and provide wire leads for the electrical connections. Next we will hook up the light up to a power supply so you can see how it looks. Connect the white wire to ground and the red wire to power. Next we will turn off the overhead lights so you can see how bright the light is. Is the LED Oval Trailer Utility Light Brighter than the Incandescent Oval Trailer Back Up Light
I went out to the warehouse and checked all of our clear oval lights. The Sealed, 6-1/2 inch LED Clear Oval Trailer Utility Light, 10 Diode, item # BUL72CB, whiter light than the light emitted by the incandescent Oval Trailer Back Up Light, item # BU70CB, but the light does not illuminate as large an area as well. The advantages of the LED light is that it does not draw near as much amperage as the incandescent light, it lasts much longer and it does not produce the heat produced by incandescent

The Optronics catalog states that the LED Clear Oval Trailer Utility Light # BUL72CB, draws 0.08 amps at 12.8 volts. I also used a multimeter to test the amp draw of the LED Clear Oval Trailer Utility Light # BUL72CB. The light measured a draw of 0.07 amps at 12 volts.
