- On the Ultra-Fab trailer jack # UF38-944017 the in line fuse holder will be cut in half and spliced in along the power wire. Ultra-Fab makes the following statement: The Fuse Holder can be installed by means of either crimping or soldering the connections. For convenience the Fuse Holder should be installed near the power source. Cut red wire in half, connect one end to the end of the black wire from the jack and connect the other end of the red wire to the positive post of the battery.
