The service was great. It shipped quickly and I received what I ordered. The product seems heavy duty as I was expecting. The action of the jack feels appropriate and only time will tell if I truely got what I paid for. I haven't had a chance to try raising the trailer while it was loaded to really know if it is truely the heavy duty jack that I needed. The Dutton-Lainson A-Frame Trailer Jack, # DL22772 has an outer tube diameter of 2-1/4 inches. It measures 10 inches from the top of the bracket to the top of the jack. It measures 11 inches from the bottom of the bracket to the bottom of the tube with the jack all the way retracted. It has a 15 inch lift. There are a couple of different foot plates that you can use with this jack. For a tall foot, use # 274600. And for a standard foot use # 82650.

Recommendation for a 5,000 Pound A-Frame Trailer Jack
The top of the Dutton-Lainson trailer jack # DL22772, is sealed and you cannot open it to grease the gears inside. They come already greased and should provide years of service. I do know that the Atwood jack, # 273800, has a small hole at the top. However, you do not want to put just any kind of lubricant inside because it may not be compatible.
