- I spoke with my contact at Dutton-Lainson, the manufacturer of the Bolt-On, Drop Leg Trailer Jack, # DL22320, about its functions. The jack can be cranked when there is a load on it to raise and lower the trailer as needed.
When the jack is off the ground, you can remove that bottom pin to lower or raise the foot in 4 inch increments, then replace the pin. This is used so you would not have to do as much cranking. The foot cannot be raised or lowered when the jack has weight applied.

The minimum trailer frame height would have to be 2 inches.

From the top mounting hole to the ground when fully retracted it measures 10-1/4 inches. The mounting holes are 5-1/2 inches apart on center from left to right.
