Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: 8 on 6-1/2 means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: 5 on 4-1/2 means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
Measuring the distance (D) from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Today we're going to take a quick look at the Dexter Axle Trailer Hub Assembly part number 84545uc1-ez. Now this hub assembly has 1,750 pound capacity. You pair it up with another one, you'll get a total of 3,500 pounds, which will match up with your 3,500 pound trailer axle. There are five studs pressed into place on our hub. They measure 5 on 4 1/2. If we measure from the center of one stud to the next we'll get our 2 5/8 inch measurement, which indicates that it's 5 on 4 1/2.
Now, included with the hub you'll find the races, which are actually already pressed into place inside the hub. You'll have your inner and outer bearings. The inner in this kit is an L68149. The outer is an L44649. You'll also find the grease seal.
In this situation it's a 10-19. You'll find your 5 conical lug nuts for securing a wheel to the hub and then you'll find a grease cap. This grease cap has a removable rubber center plug so that you can access the easy lube spindle and lubricate everything just by fitting a grease gun onto the zerk. Great price and quick delivery. Time will tell on the quality as I will not be using my tow dolley until next summer. But by looks alone the parts appear to be as described on the website and well built. Just wish it was offered without the bearing kit as I bought that before I realized the hub was bad. But having an extra bearing kit isnt a bad thing to keep with me. 59349
