Fully welded Toyota RAV4 trailer hitch is strong and durable. Draw-Tite's Tested Tough guarantee ensures that this hitch exceeds industry standards. The combination of an e-coat base and a powder coat finish provides excellent rust protection.
Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.
Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.
In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

Today on our 2012 Toyota RAV4, well be installing a Draw Tite hitch part number 75432. This is what our hitch will look like once it is installed. Next well go ahead and give you a couple of measurements to assist you in selecting accessories for your new hitch. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the spare tire, its 4-1/4 inches. From the top of the receiver tube to the ground is 12-12 inches. This will assist you in selecting accessories such as a draw bar, bike rack or a cargo carrier.
Now lets go ahead with installation. First were needed to remove the tow hook on the drivers side. There are two fasteners securing it. Now with the tow hook out of the way well need to go ahead and remove the covers for the weld nuts in the frame that will be our attachment points. Starting from the rear nearest to the bumper well be using the first weld nut as our re-attachment point and the third weld nut as our forward attachment point.
Keep in mind that each process we do here on the drivers side we're going to repeat it identically on the passengers side. Now weve uncovered the weld nuts well be using in the frame, well go ahead and clean them out. To clean them out we use some spray lubricant and a 1/2-inch nylon two brush part no. 814092 to thoroughly clean them up. Because over time there going to build up with rust, dust, dirt and debris and can make it difficult to install the new hardware.
Quick tick tip, I also recommend you go and take one of the new fasteners and thread it in to make sure its going to go nice and easily. As you can see here on the forward attachment for the drivers side, weve got it cleaned out and it goes in nice and easily. Now go ahead and repeat the same process with the other three attachment points. Now with all the attachment points cleaned out, were ready to go ahead and install the hitch. Well be using the new 12mm bolts along with the conical tooth washer.
The teeth of the washer will face the hitch. Well free the passengers side up over the exhaust first and then bring the drivers side in position. Its a good idea to get an extra pair of hands to help you hold the hitch in place while you install the fasteners. Install each fastener finger-tight until we get them all in place. Now with all the four fasteners in place we go ahead and tighten them down. Next well go ahead and torque to specifications as indicated in the instructions. Now with all the four fasteners secured and tort to specifications, and then complete our install of our Draw Tite hitch part no. 75432 on our 2012 Toyota RAV4.
Average Customer Rating: 4.8 out of 5 stars (119 Customer Reviews)Fully welded vehicle trailer hitch is strong and durable. Dear etrailer, May I begin to say that the moment I placed my order, in less than thirty minutes Herb (email@example.com) immediately wrote me back with a confirmation, tracking link, and a friendly thanks. Next, I watched the installation and wiring video twice that you provide on your website while waiting for the unit to arrive. Outstanding for I felt as if I had a personal teacher as I watched. I also found out by watching that I needed a tool to remove the rear door panel which I did not have. Again, nice job. It's always annoying when you find out as you are installing that you need some "special tool" if you know what I mean. So I went to my friendly Auto Zone and picked one up. I then watched as my new trailer hitch moved across the a few states to show up three days later at my door. The same day it arrived Patrick Breedlove wrote me an email stating I should have received the hitch and if there were any questions, give him a call. So, before even starting to install, I felt I had your company and the personnel covering my back. Because I watched the video, I literally installed the hitch in about 30 minutes. Then installed the custom wiring harness in about an hour for I wanted to make sure the power wire was secure and I had to lay on my back...in the stones. Slowed me down a bit. So, may I say if there was a rating greater than "EXCELLENT", you would have it! Awesome people, product, and service! God bless you all and keep it up! Kirk C. 96564

The Drawtite hitch for our 'new' 2008 RAV4 arrived undamaged except for a couple of small chips in the paint from handling. It's well made and fit the RAV4 perfectly. The M12 threaded holes in the car were somewhat rusted and I didn't have a tap on hand to chase them. The new hitch came with an extra M12 bolt so I cut two groves 180 degrees apart approx. 1/16" deep in the spare bolt at the thread end with a die grinder cut off wheel (you could also use a hacksaw) to make a poor mans chase tap. I ran the bolt all the way into the four holes in the car and blew them out with compressed air. They cleaned up nicely and I bolted up the hitch with a little never seize on each bolt. The installation took about an hour including raising the vehicle and cleaning up the M12 holes. Installing the flat-4 harness took a few hours but I learned a few things along the way which would make the job go much faster next time. The video for installing the harness was a good overview but lacked detail for interior trim removal to prevent damaging the trim panels. A very handy tool for removing auto interior trim can be purchased at Harbor Freight Tools for under $10. It consists of a set of various shaped spoon-type tools for slipping under the edge of trim panels to pop out the retaining fasteners without damaging the trim. The tools are reinforced nylon and take a good amount of force without breaking. Worth the money. If you take you time and carefully find the trim retainers as you go you will not damage or buckle the trim. I decided to run the 12v hot 10ga wire to the battery via the door threshold raceway along with the factory rear to front harness rather than under the vehicle as shown in the video. I removed the rear and front drivers side thresholds and adjacent trim to get the 10ga wire from the rear tail light area to the front of the vehicle. I fed the wire thru the hood release cable grommet under the dash alongside the hood release cable. I used a 3' length of string trimmer line to get from under the dash to the engine compartment and then taped the wire the the line and pulled it thru to the battery. As I said, the harness took longer than I thought to install but I learned along the way. In the end I was happy with the finished job. The flat-4 plug checked out properly with a voltmeter and the Drawtite T-One harness is fully plug-in and well constructed. I recommend the hitch and harness to all! Mike K. Spencerport,NY 20019

I installed this trailer hitch (Draw-Tite 2" Class III) on a 2010 Toyota RAV4. The hitch is as solid as a rock, looks great, and thanks to the online videos, it was very easy to install. (Note: I highly recommend getting a friend to help you with the installation ... the hitch is very heavy.) I've had this hitch for over a year now, supporting a Yakima SwingDaddy bike rack, and have had no issues. I highly recommend this hitch for the Toyota RAV4. 90536

we have been very busy biking!! The hitch was mounted on my 2008 Toyota RAV4. My husband removed the tie down plate on the drivers rear, then went to a friend who has a lift. They had the hitch on in about 15 minutes. The hardest part was the three holes that had to be tapped and threaded to receive the bolts to hold the hitch. It took about 15 minutes to install the bike carrier. We are very pleased with both items. 51650
Just received this hitch and are installing now. The package came quickly and tracking graphics were impressive. Package had a hole in it. We sprayed a little flat black protective enamel (Rustoleum) on a couple of small scratches where the chrome was showing through. We couldn't find the torque specifications online, or in the paper instructions. I called etrailer and spoke to Courtney. She said "tighten all bolts to 65 lbs/foot." We found the sales staff was very well trained and knowledgeable, when we were looking for this hitch and accessories. When we needed customer support after the parts arrived, that experience went well, too. Courtney had to put me on hold to get the torque info, but it only took her 5 - 10 seconds to retrieve the information. Turns out we don't have a 19 mm 1/2" socket for the torque wrench so it was a moot point. The hitch went on ... well ... without a hitch. It was really a snap. We did have to remove the plastic tabs over three of our bolt holes on the car. Looks like a well made, sturdy hitch. Fit perfectly! 35945
2011 Rav 4 - The hitch arrived surprisingly fast with the basic free shipping, which was great. There were some minor scratches/scuffs that I covered with black spray paint - no big deal, either. If I paid a premium price, I would have expected a flawless product, but since I didn't, I was satisfied with the condition, overall. One of the sides was bent in about 1/8 of an inch, which turned out to be a problem on install as the bolt holes didn't all line up. So, I contacted customer service and got some instructions on how to bend it out. It is not ideal for it to arrive bent, in my opinion, but fixing it was not as hard as one might expect. It took me a little over an hour to install, including time to tweak hitch to get the holes lined up. I had no lift and no help, both of which would have been useful since its pretty awkward, but doable, even for a rookie like me. One other install note - the muffler gets in the way even after taking it off the hanger. And getting it off the hanger takes a little work, too. But - it's on now and looks great. 20062
Product was shipped immediately, packaged well. Installation took a little longer than orginally anticipated. Like what other folks have posted, it takes a while to clean out the holes on the frame if your car has seen a couple of winters. You will need a buddy when you actually install the hitch - one person to hold it in place and one to start threading each bolt. Holes on the actual hitch did not line up absolutely perfectly - in my opinion, I think one of the welds on the hitch was like an eigth of an inch off - but everything installed nice and neat with a little persuasion. All in all, real happy with the purchase and this company was great to order from. They expedited the shipping at no extra charge to me and sent me emails letting me know what was going on. Saved a bunch of cash ordering from them and doing it myself. 19740

The hitch was pretty easy to install after watching the etrailer video. The only thing stopping me from giving it a perfect score was that I had to bend the hitch brackets out to get the hitch to fit the mounting holes on my Rav4. Somehow the hitch appeared to be bent in slightly on one side. To bend/adjust the hitch brackets to proper form, I did the following. (1) Fit the hitch on the Rav4 to determine how far off the mounting holes were on one side of the hitch. I screwed in the bolts on one side and took the measurements on the opposite side. (2) Use a bottle jack and a 2x4 to slowly bend the brackets out. I bent the brackets out in small increments until I got the correct distance between the mounting holes. This took @ 10 minutes total. After making the adjustments, it bolted up perfectly. Looks great on the vehicle. 183980
Great company to deal with - provided free delivery and even upgraded it to provide faster delivery. Hitch arrived in strong cardboard box with no damage except for loss of black paint where hitch had broken thru box. Installation instructions and video were excellent - all mounting hardware was provided - 4 bolts and washers. Only problem I had was rusted bolt holes on my 2006 RAV4 so I could not get the bolts in, not surprising since the holes were exposed to weather. Once I managed to locate a tap to clean out the threads and the hitch went on easily. Maybe etrailer could carry the tap and either include it or provide it at a good price because I did have problems locating the M12 x 1.25 tap. Overall, I'm very happy with the service, pricing and quality of the hitch - now I have to hook up the wiring harness. 18865

The hitch arrived quickly & undamaged. I installed it by myself on my 2012 RAV4. Had some 4" X 4" blocks which I stacked to raise the hitch to the proper height. Three of the four mounting holes lined up perfectly. The fourth required just a little bit of encouragement with a C-clamp...not much. I wasn't strong enough to pull the recommended amount of torque on the bolts, so I had that done by the shop that ran the hidden trailer wiring for me. Overall, not a difficult do-it-yourself project. Service from etrailer.com was excellent. I would use them again (& may do so for another car). 78496

Drawtite hitch for 2010 RAV 4 Installation was a breeze, RAV4 frame rails have factory installed nutplates. Need to push the exhaust resonator outboard to access the right front attachment bolt. Cone washers (spherical version of a bellvue washer) are used on each attachment bolt, they take a bit of crush before the final torque is reached. Electrical harness installation is more involved than a Gen 1 Honda CRV. More a potential improvement for Toyota and no fault of the wiring harness. This is the second hitch from eTrailers for us. Each purchase has been a very good price and excellent delivery time. OK, so two purchases doesn't make for a bell curve statistic. I am a returning customer, that should tell ya something. 9859

Would rate this product Excellent except for the following: As I read in some other online reviews, the trailer bracket arrives with a few good-sized scratches...something should be done to improve the packaging for long-distance shipments. Also, I did have to widen the bracket a hair with a sledge hammer to get the holes to line up...seems the end plates tip inward slightly during assembly (due to welding?). Small issue & easily resolved, but it ate some time & is something that should be addressed by the manufacturer. Great experience with etrailer.com & I'll definitely be back. Online videos are a HUGE help, thanks! I'm no mechanic & the videos saved me $1100.- on installation compared to local quotes! 27720

Shipping was fast. Installation was a bit more than I had planned. I never would have thought I'd have to spread the flanges apart using my hydraulic jack to have the holes line up (this was done at the recomendations of the cust serv rep). I think they need some better quality control. 35897
It was as expected. Four (4) bolt attachment for the hitch. The installation video found on the etrailer website was terrific. It was not as easy as it claimed (it was obviously edited to shorten the time necessary) in the video, but without the video, it would have been nearly impossible as I would have been terrified to disassemble the back of my RAV 4 on my own to wire it up. I'm still not sure why I have to run a power wire to the battery. I didn't need one on any of the three Dodge products I installed hitches on. 73846

Easy to install but like the earlier review said, the bolt holes in the frame were seriously corroded, rusted, couldn't even see the threads. So like he suggested, I made a poor man's tap buy cutting 2 grooves in a bolt the same size and sprayed the holes with oil and cleaned them out, tapping them sort of by forcing this bolt in. I took a number of times in and out and we had to use a cross tire iron with lots of effort, and keep cleaning the tap. This took an hour but bolting on the bumper was only a few minutes. 44470

I was a little concerned when the write-up for the 2013 RAV4 hitch receiver said muffler modifications. John H. cleared that up. I had removed the tie-down bracket and extra muffler hanger prior to hitch arrival. With that done, installation by myself took about a half hour. (I didn't have to drop the muffler down again but used it to support one side while I got the bolts started on the other side). It fits perfectly and looks good. It works great with my bike rack. Thanks for the great customer service. 78648

I am extremely pleased with your service and products. I accidentally ordered the wrong hitch cover. The very day I placed the order, my error was discovered by one of your employees and I received a phone call to verify that a mistake was made. She made several suggestions, the correct part was ordered and in less than one week, my order was delivered. Installation was far easier than I expected and your on line installaton video was an enormous help. I would definately recommend your web site to friends. 35058

Great fit Being pickey here, but muffler and factory tow bracket prevented quick bolt and go install. Once bracket removed and a work around for the muffler was achieved with hand socket wrench it all came together - this was still only a 1 hour job. Was nice that due to hitch bolt hole leeway, one side could be hand set, then the other side - negating the need in my case for a second person. Tightened it all up with an air tool and hand wrenched the bolt shielded by the muffler - looks and works great. 1062

Installed on my 2011 RAV4 with no problems. I backed my RAV4 onto ramps to make the install a little easier. Mounting points are easy to reach. You might need to remove the rubber exhaust hanger in order to get the passenger side rear mounting bolt installed. This is covered in one of the RAV4 install videos on the etrailer site... you just need to spray on a little WD-40 and use a pry bar to pop it off (it will go back on easily). This is my 2nd hitch purchase from etrailer and again very satisfied. 8528

I boutght hitch and ball mount kit for a 2010 Rav 4 and I couldn't be more pleased with the product and the service provided by etrailer.com. The items arrived sooner than expected and the video made installation a breeze - a gentle breeze. I almost have to make up something to find a negative...oh yeah, the first time I drove out of my sloping driveway I was moving too fast and slightly scraped the end of the hitch on the concrete, but no damage. I'll slow down in the future. 10001

After surfing the web I choose to buy from "etrailer" due to their price and top name brands and quality. I was going to have hitch professionally installed but after the prices I got, I decided to try myself. Wasnt sure which wiring set to get so I called and the lady was wonderful and helpful and they even had a video I could go back to after my shipment arrived with step by step instructions for the wire porition of the installion. It was a breeze. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!! 42693

I thought I would share this with someone looking to buy this hitch. Installation on my 2011 Rav4 was smooth. Muffler side you just had to hold it to the right a bit and you could get to the back bolt. I just used it for the first time hauling my bike to Virginia. Worked great! I had a 1 1/4 " bike rack so I bought the hitch reducer and the anti rattle device (which I recommend you get). It did not move a bit or rattle. I would recommend this product. Received it in 2 days! 12810

I contacted Bridget and she was most helpful on product selection. I had my hitch in three days. Just a few small paint scratches. No problem. Using good quality car ramps made the installation much easier. With some assistance from the wife in holding the hitch in place to fasten the bolts--the job was done in 30 minutes. All holes aligned perfectly. I just viewed the video on wire harness installation and that's the next project. Couldn't be happier. 37256

Needed Addition, Perfect Fit This hitch fits perfectly. Now my RAV4 is complete. It is sturdy, looks great, and well made. Like others, I elected to install it myself. I even mounted a rear bumper guard at the same time which occupies the same area on the frame rail, and purchased sligtly longer screws. Mounting the receiver first, and bumper guard last, together, they both are a perfect fit, and match. I would recommend this hitch to anyone. 3029

The hitch arrived in perfect condition and I installed it on my 2010 RAV4 in 25 minutes. I'm very satisfied with both the hitch and etrailer. After I placed my order, etrailer upgraded me to priority status free of charge and I had my hitch the next day. I would order from them etrailer again, which I did. I placed an order for a Thule bike rack. Glad to know there are still companies that place a premium on customer service. Thanks!! 42665

Ordered by phone on a Sunday. A very easy, pleasant and efficient process. Called to track order status on Wednesday and was suprised to get a human rather than a series of automated phone instructions. Overall, package arrived in good shape and installation was very easy and fit was good. Installation video on website is excellent. This is my first purchase from etrailer and will definately shop there first on future purchases. 48195

I received my complete order the NEXT day, which was a surprise because I received free shipping from etrailer.com. The products were securely packaged, and while I haven't had the parts installed yet, they are in their original packaging and appear to be in good working order. I am extremely satisfied with my purchase, especially since the car dealer was going to charge me more than TWICE what it cost me going through etrailer.com. 26654
Perfect fit This hitch was ordered for my 2008 Rav4 V6 4WD. I did have to remove a bracket that prevents this hitch from installing that comes from factory. Other than that it was very simple to install. All together it took me within 15 mins to install it by myself. If I had someone else to help me hold it up...I guess it would have taken less time. I highly recommend it.Don't get ripped off from Toyota dealer, do it yourself. 813
Hitch works great, arrived very fast, in perfect condition. One note for anyone that is thinking about this hitch and a Thule Parkway3 bike rack on a RAV4. The parkway 3 works fine on my 2012 RAV4. I can open the door almost completely and since there is a rubber "stopper" that limits how far the bike rack swings down, just a little pressure will allow you to fully open the door if you ever want to. 81575

solid product, fast and easy delivery. here were some small spots where the paint was chipped or chipping off. Will want to touch them up to reduce rusting. Installation of the trailer hitch took some extra time because the holes in my car's frame needed to be tapped to fit the bolts. But once that was done installation went smoothly. Now I'm on to the wiring part of the project. 41840

Ordered this product by phone and was pleased to talk to a real person so quickly. It arrived within two days of my order placement and took very little time to install by a professional. He related that it was of superior quality and the fit was perfect. Hitch cover fits and looks great. Will definately order from this company again when I'm ready for wiring. 49577

The UPS guy tore the package open, but the hitch was delivered in perfect condition and very quickly. It looked great even in the torn box(!) and even better on the Rav4. Installation instructions were simple to understand (only four bolts), and it went on in about ten minutes and fit perfectly. I am very satisified with the price, delivery and product. 8033
I bought a Drawtite hitch for our 2006 Rav4. It installed very easily, exactly as it was intended. It was a Christmas gift for my wife (not a good present aparently). I ordered it, and as I recall it was shipped the same day, regardless it was at my door much earlier than expected. I was very happy with eTrailer's service, and happy with the hitch. 15281
The shipping for my hitch was upgraded and recieved items very quickly. The hitch fit fairly well although I did have to pry one side a little to align up bolts. The installation videos on etrailer are very useful for install. Took about 20 minutes for hitch install and about 30 minutes for electrical hookup. Overall very pleased with products. 39614

Installed on a 2011 Rav4. The only hitch, pun intended, was that the holes didn't line up so the 'L' shaped brackets needed to be bent out a little. This was accomplished by tightening down on bolts on the side that looked like it was most bent in and then pulling down on the opposite side; checking frequently to see if the holes lined up. 23108

Great product but... Great product which performs very well however if your Rav4 has been through a couple of NE winters like mine getting the bolts on may take a little extra work. After trying to clean the rust with a brush and a couple of different lubricants without success I had to borrow an air gun from a friend to get the bolts on. 2074

The ordering was extremely easy except yhe one part at the end where I was to choose a free magazine. I didn't want one & that part was not wanting to let me go, however it finally did. It was shipped on time and the hitch lokks well built. The "how to" videos were very good and helpful. The price was good. Thanks! 34043

Drawtite Hitch for RAV4 was just as promised. Fit was very good and wiring kit installed per directions. Video for both hitch and wiring kit was very helpful. Good idea to watch before you purchase for compatibility issues. One negative, hitch base had broken through box. Good thing it was an all steel product. 17410

My order arrived very fast and in perfect condition, It took only 1 hour to install on the 2012 Toyota Rav4 and fit exactly as ordered. I had the hand tools needed with a floor jack in my home garage and a few pieces of 4x6 studs to help level since I was alone. Directions made the total install very easy. 126454

Solid, easy to install. Electrics were a bit involved, but used shortcut mentioned in another review. I spliced the power cord into the auxiliary power port in the rear of my 2010 Rav4. Piece of cake. eTrailer delivered as promised. 3rd hitch purchased from eTrailer. Great company to do biz with. 18035
Took only about 20 minutes to install on 2011 Rav4 with no help. Very pleased with the hitch. The install video on the web site was great. The shipping box could be sturdier, was damaged, as was the box for the bike rack that i also purchased. Should be shipped separately. 21276

Fantastic. From top to bottom an excellent site, price and instructions (both video and through feedback) really sealed the deal. Had the Hitch on within 15 Minutes of arriving home. Super Fast Delivery too. Had it within a day of ordering it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!!! 19820
My order arrived in 2 days and everything was as expected. The Hitch, Mount and Ball is now installed on my husband's truck and seems very sturdy. He loves it. We haven't used it yet, but don't expect any issues. I would definitely recommend ordering from etrailer. 42033

Top quality hitch, excellent workmanship. The fitment was perfect. The video I highly recommend watching for installation. I purchased the complete hitch package for my suv and the videos were to the point with step by step simple instructions for installation. 30489
Hitch arrived today, less than a week after placing the order. The hitch was very easy to install. I will tackle the wiring in the next day or two. I have done business with e-trailer in the past and will continue to turn to this company for my towing needs. 36725

Nice product, Easy install Great price, prompt delivery, easy install took about 20 minutes and 3 hands. Needed help to pull muffler aside to torque bolt. Other 3 bolts no sweat. Much cheaper than OEM install. Strong like bull. On 08'Toyota RAV4 6. 916
Great service, fast delivery and low prices. What else can you ask for. Product is sturdy and was easy to install. Online installation videos from etrailer are very helpful. I would highly recommend etrailer and would definetly buy from them again. 10452
A great product Receiver hatch is easy to install and fits perfectly on the 2008 Rav4 using the right tools. Not being a mechanic and never did anything like this before, it installed without a 'hitch'. Installtion took me about 45 mins. 677
For whatever reason, my RAV4 slightly different than the one used for the trailer harness wiring and trailer hitch receiver. However, it was close enough that I figured it out without a great deal of difficulty. I would do this again. 30520
