Today on this 2005 Nissan Armada, were going to install part number 13188 from Curt. This is what the hitch looks like when its installed on the vehicle. Next well give you some measurements thatll help you out in selecting some accessories such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the top of the receiver opening down to the ground will be about 21 inches and from the center of the hitch pinhole to the edge of the bumper will be about 1 inches. Now well go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. First thing were going to do is go ahead and show attachment points on the frame. There are two weld nuts at the very end of the frame and one going towards the front.
This is going to be identical on both sides of the frame. Now well go ahead and clean out the weld nuts. We use a spray lubricant and a brush to help clean out the threads. The brush is going to be part number 814092. Now to make things a little easier, if you cut the end off of the handle of a tube brush, you can put it in a drill and it may clean the threads a little bit easier as well. Once the threads are cleaned out, well go ahead and use one of the hitch bolts and check it to make sure that its easy to thread in.
Now the older the vehicle is, the more time this will take and later on you may need a thread tech to help up the threads. Now Ill go ahead and show you how the hitch hardware installs. We have our bolt and our conical tooth washer; you always want to make sure that the teeth on the washer always face towards the hitch. All right, now with and extra set of hands, well lift the hitch up into position and install the hardware. Once we have all six bolts loosely installed, well go ahead and tighten them down and then torque them down as specified in the instructions.
With that our hitch is already installed. That will finish it for part number 13188 from Curt on our 2005 Nissan Armada. .

It didn't seem to want to fit on my 2010 Nissan Armada. I called Etrailer.com. Tommy at Etrailer.com did some research and called me back pretty quickly. He said he was told that the hitch definitely fits but had to be muscled into position because it sits really tightly against the car bumper. Getting some help and using a little muscled it was installed in about 10 minutes. Looks great and works great. 53936
