This fully welded, corrosion-resistant Honda Odyssey trailer hitch is perfect for your light-duty towing and hitch rack needs. Tested Tough guarantee ensures that this hitch exceeds industry strength standards. Drawbar, pin and clip sold separately.

Specs:

Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.
Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.
In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.
At etrailer.com we're committed to the products we sell, and to our customers. Our experienced and knowledgeable staff are available via both phone and email to address your questions and concerns for the lifetime of your hitch. The technicians at etrailer perform hitch installations on a daily basis, making them a valuable resource for do-it-yourselfers. The one-on-one, personal service you'll receive comes straight from an expert in the towing and automotive field. We've installed it, we've wired it and we've towed with it, so whatever your question, we can answer it.

Today on our 2009 Honda Odyssey, we'll be installing a draw-tite hitch part number 36417. Before we begin installation, we'll go ahead and lower the exhaust. To lower the exhaust, we'll use a little spray lubricant on the rubber isolator for the rear exhaust hanger. Then we can simply take our crowbar and just remove the isolator from the metal hanger. This point, we can go ahead and point out then attach the points here in the frame. Next, we'll go ahead and take our half-inch nylon tube brush part number 814092 and some spray lubricant to clean up the weldnuts in the frame. After you finish cleaning up the weldnut, I recommend you to take the 12mm bolts and go ahead and drive it in to the weldnut to make sure it goes nice and smoothly.
And we'll repeat the same process on the driver's side. Now, with all 4 weldnuts cleaned out, we're ready to go and install the hitch. We'll use a new 12mm bolt and a half inch conical toothed washer with the tease of the washer facing the hitch. We'll take our hitch, feed up over the exhaust on the passenger's side, then bring the driver's side up in the position securing it with the bolt and conical toothed washers. Then we'll move over to the passenger's side and repeat the same process.
Now, with all 4 attach points in place, we go ahead and tighten them down. Once we have them tighten down, we can go down and torque the specifications as indicated in the instructions. Now with that done, we'll go ahead and re-install the exhaust. This will complete the install of our draw-tite hitch part number 36417 on our 2009 Honda Odyssey.

This is the 3rd hitch I purchased from etrailer.co over the last 10 years and it could not have been easier to order and shipped very fast. I have a mechanic buddy who helped me with all 3 installs. It is much easier to have the vehicle on a lift. I had no issues with the install and the instruction videos were perfect. The trailer wiring I did myself with no problems thanks to the detailed video. Over the years I always recommend etrailer.com to anyone that is looking for a hitch. This is the best company to buy a hitch from and you can't beat the prices. I will always recommend etrailer and I will be buying another hitch soon for my wifes new Hyundai Tucson.46434

I was amazed at the efficiency of your company. I ordered the trailer hitch receiver and wiring harness on saturday and received it on tuesday. Wednesday I installed it without a problem. Following the installation videos made it twice as simple. On my 2007 Honda Odyssey, I did'nt have to lower the tail pipe. Thanks Etrailer44108

The hitch receiver was fine and went on easy. It interferes with the bumper a bit, so I cut a notch in the bumper to accomodate it. In the installation video, it says that the underbody trim panel that needs to be removed should not be reinstalled. I do not know why it says that because I reinstalled that piece and it fit just fine with the hitch installed. The wiring was also an easy installation. I did not like the thought of having the wiring hanging into the trunk area, so I cut a hole in the side trim panel so I could feed the wiring into the storage compartment as shown in the picture.39529

The fit of the hitch is perfect. But, unless you've just bought a new vehicle, there is no way the installation will take 20-30 minutes. Our Odyssey is 4 years old. The threaded inserts for the hitch bolts were rusty and filled with dirt. It took 20 minutes just to clean them out so the bolts would thread in. Then, each bolt took significant muscle to tighten completely. Now that it's on, it's on for good. It's a great hitch. etrailer shipped quickly (and for free). I am very happy with this purchase.38062

2006 Honda Odessy, hitch and lighting, videos were perfect, especially the attention to preparing the nuts on the frame, if you don't spend the time to get them clean be prepared for sore arms and new four letter combos while you try to start those bolts and hold the hitch up. Overall your 3 rated difficulty was right on the mark. 22544

Easy install on my 2011 Odyssey (Touring Edition). I did need to remove the driver side plastic filler box (3 plastic rivets, 1 hex bolt and 1 Phillips screw). Slipped hitch over exhaust on passenger side then supported driver side. Started bolts on passenger side then on drivers side, then tightened all down to spec. Done in 15 minutes.19499

This is a repeat purchase for us. We sold our old van and purchased a new one. Found out we could have kept the same hitch! Oh well. Purchase process was easy and straightforward. Customer service was very helpful. Shipping was excellent and they kept us informed the whole time.10972

Easy installation... probably took 15 minutes. Only issue I had was that the hitch pinched up on my bumper cover which was replaced due to a rear end accident. Happy with the product!7748
