- Is Drilling Required When Installing a Trailer Hitch on a 1989 Ford F-150
- Yes, installation of the Reese Trailer hitch, # 36025, does require drilling. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you to view. It looks like all of the hitches for a 1989 Ford F-150 do require drilling.
Drilling is more easily accomplished with the use of a rotabroach drill bit. For the Reese hitch, you need a 1/2 inch bit, # 6810.
