Today on this 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee were going to install the Curt hitch part #: c13065. Here are a couple of measurements that will assist you in selecting accessories for your new hitch. From the center of the hitch pinhole to the outermost point of the bumper is 4 and a quarter inches. From the top of the receiver tube to the ground will be 15 and inches. Now lets go ahead with the installation. Alright, before we can install the hitch we need to remove the four frame bolts located inside the frame, theres two on each side.

Both sides are identical so everything we do here to the passenger side well repeat identically on the driver side. Occasionally the manufactures cock that seams the floor pane and the beam together is excessive and youll need to take a utility knife and cut the cock back. On this application it does not interfere so we will not have to cut the cock back. Now were ready to go ahead and install our hitch. Its a good opportunity to get a second set of hands to help you hold the hitch in place while you install the fasteners.

Well install each of our fasteners finger tight until we get all four in place. Alright, now were ready to go ahead and tighten our fasteners down. With all of our fasteners tightened down we can go ahead and torque to specifications as indicated in the instructions. Alright, with all of our fasteners tightened down that will complete the installation of our Curt hitch part #: c13065 on our 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Ordered this particular hitch for my '11 GC because the reviews were good and I wanted one that would be relatively subtle in appearance. It definitely met my expectations - it seems very well built and the only exposed portion is the receiver - everything else sits up behind the rear facia. Installation was incrediably easy too. I added an OEM receiver cover and it looks very clean - almost as if it came from the factory - except I have a full bumper! Included are a few pic's exhibiting what it looks like installed.19696
