• The flat portion of the top of this Aluminum Tread Plate Trailer Fender # J8824AT that you referenced is 13 inches, the entire top of the fender is 16 inches. Check out the picture I attached to see this measurement. As long as you used plenty of bolts to securely install this fender to your trailer there is no reason you could not bolt it to your trailer instead of welding it.
