Today were going to install the Ultra Fab Folding Spare Tire Carrier for trailers and RVs. Part #UF15-954730. To begin with lets go ahead and lay all our parts out on the table. To begin with, as you will see this particular one can be used in the stationary position or in the folding. Were going to show the folding, so we must first remove the upper bolt to allow it to be replaced with a pin and a clip. Next we will torque down the lower bolt to the manufactures specifications.
Once this is done youll there is sort of a C-shaped bracket that gets bolted to the upright post. You will use the shorter bolts on this one with a lock washer and nut. Once we do this you will see that there is two longer bolts that you will push through the outer part and push the clips over them, which actually help retain the bolt in place when the spare tire is not bolted to it. These can be kind of difficult to push on, so you may have to work at it some. Now that weve got this done were ready to install it on our trailer or RV bumper.
Next you will kind of hold it up on the bumper kind of figuring out where it fits best avoiding to cover up the license plate or any other hatch area that may need to be opened. Once youve found this location youll want to take the U-bolts slip it around the bumper through the plate and install the lock washer and a nut. You will repeat this for both sides of the plate. Once you have all the nuts and washers on you need to tighten them down. Now that the tire carrier is mounted to the bumper its time to install the spare tire.
You will put the upper bolt on this through one of the lug holes and used the supplied lug nut and tighten down. The second bolt, you will slip the steel plate that is supplied with the kit through the center section hole of the wheel. After you put this one you will tighten down using the second lug nut snugging the tire to the bracket. Next well show you how the tilt feature works. We will remove the pin and the clip and let it tilt forward and this completes our installation of the Ultra Fab Folding Spare Tire Carrier for trailers and RVs part #UF15-954730.

product is good except tire plate needs to be doubled . I had to make another one to sandwich bottom brace lug between rim and back plate. Too, Clevis pin needs to be a little larger to fit tight to keep tire from wobbling. Unit is a little loose but will work ok.32263
